Hi Charlotte, the easiest way would be: once you have completed all the steps to make look like this...just nest everything into it's own sequence, move it up one track and below add a solid with the desired color.

I am actually going through a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro CC. The problem is that I can't strech my text. It's like whenever I try to strech it from top to increase obky it's height, it increases it's width equally as well. I don't want this, when I increase height of text, it should only strech it's height, same goes for width. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Hey, Eric. With the text tool selected just click on the text in the canvas and edit. The canvas being the program monitor of the sequence you are working in.

@@videomarknet I actually followed this through, all I did was reduce the duration of each word and it turned out so so good compared to the opacity method which left me in shambles. Thank you I will definitely check out your vids more

Hi, I am using premiere pro 2021, latest versión and could not see the effect as you describe ? I am trying to do it by myself. Wrote the text, went to effects, keying, aplha adjust, applied to to text, selected invert aplha and nothing happened. What is wrong. Thanks.

@@videomarknet On you tutorial, you write the text "MOVIE TITLE", i did the same, then on you tutorial, you scaled the text, i did the same. but on you tutorial, when you apply the Alpha key, and when you invert the effect, the entire screen become on black, and the title reveal the vídeo son track 1. In my case, i applied the alpha key, inverted it, and nothing happens, still can see the video on track 1, and the title on track 2. What Am i doing wrong? Please.

the template works just fine. Are you importing via the Essential Graphics panel? since this is a .mogrt

when i held the shift key it changed the box porpotionately and wouldnt let me make it into a thin rectangle... how do i do it like you did?

Hi Ian, select the points on either side while holding the shift key. Then let go the shift key, start dragging and tap & hold the shift key again to lock the direction

I just did double check if it works in the current version....and it does. Are you exactly following the steps in the tutorial? Did you apply the 'alpha adjust' effect?

Same problem using Pr 2019, but I figure it out how to solve it. I add an ultra key effect on the text and set the main color to the text color, then it worked finally.

I had the same problem, and I checked carefully the screen of Video Mark, and realized that the 'inverted' option marked was under Fx Opacity, and problem fixed.

IS there one for DaVinci Resolve?

just drag a text box over the whole canvas and adjust the size in the essential graphics panel or the effect controls. You can also resize the graphic asset itself with "size" also in the effect control panel.

@@tomsandroy it's a mogrt file (Motion Graphics Template) which you can import via the essential graphics template. There's a plus icon in the lower right corner.

in the essential graphics panel under the browse tab you should see a plus icon in the lower right corner. There you can import local mograph templates
