I do the same thing but I get the weights from eBay. It does work great. My current build blue truck doesn’t have them. I tried it both ways but I’m not sure which way was better on that build. But my traxxas chevys do.

Thanks for the comment. I've seen the weights on Ebay and Amazon, but why pay for them if you don't have to, right? They work great, but I would say they are more suited for a crawler than a trail rig.
