I know a lot of people that hate jazz but to somebody like myself this was the punk rock before punk rock was punk rock as so to speak.
Never has a song been more aptly titled. Just five masters straight up goin' for broke.
My goodness, the songs on this album all have a swagger about them. It's really captures emotions raised by one's pursuit of social justice in the face of injustice all without a single lyric, That's amazing to me
A masterpiece from the hard bop era of the Jazz Golden Age.
You'll improve my introduction, thank you!
The most intense song I have ever felt
Art blakey was one very very good drummer and my all time favorite
an example of shorter's emerging and original style of composition as part of blakey's school for future greats.
Art Blakey, 1964: "Coltrane, Elvin--I accept your challenge."
Everybody nailed their solos! Would've been even more amazing if Walton had done a solo on pfte.
I love how you can hear the rest of the band cheer on the soloists, and each other
An absolute belter ❤
These brothers were in that
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolute Masterpiece
fuck me the drumming is insane, i can definitely hear how this mightve influenced someone like bonham
Bombastic
Para mim, a maior peça do Hardbop já feita em TODOS os tempos!! Isso é mais que uma execução de música, é uma experiência sensorial inigualável que te leva numa verdadeira viagem!
