Free Falling Guitar Lesson EASY CHORD version ✅ Check out my guitar course laurenbateman.mykajabi.com/co... - In this guitar lesson I will be teaching how to play Free Falling on guitar. This song was originally done by Tom Petty but this easy chord version is more reminiscent of John Mayer's cover of the song, especially if you place a capo at the 4th fret.

I will be going over some of the subtle intricacies of playing Free Falling on the guitar like the chords and strumming patterns. The great thing about this easy version of Free Falling is that we will be playing the song based solely around variations of the D chord.

This is absolute awesome and fun! I've used this cord progression over time for endings and in choruses and now I finally know the actual the name of the Dsus4 & the Dsus2 cords. wonderful

Hey Lauren! Another great lesson. Thanks for making things accessible for us beginners. (Yeah...playing for ten months and still a "beginner.") Would love to hear you sing a bit more of each song. I know it would be helpful to my learning process because I can play the progression but not able to coordinate the chord changes to the lyrics. I hope that's clear. Thanks!

I learned to play this with D, G and A7sus4. It's pretty awesome that this entire song is just the same chords in the same order over and over. It's a fun song to learn also because it's a popular song. 😊

I find it easier throwing accents on the intermediate pattern you gave since the downs and ups are more consistent than trying to count the 1e+a and all that in the easier version. I get all messed up.
