Worse era in Rap, outside of the South which absolutely did our thing. 50/DMX/Ja were the only good dudes from up north back then besides Jay Z and Nas who were 90s artists. Wtf was they even listening to in Cali (west coast) back then that shit was trash. Every time I watch Baby Boy I think about how garbage that soundtrack was and how miserable they must've been having to listen to that BS. The midwest was irrelevant and didn't have a sound. They either copied the west coast/east coast/or South depending on what part of the midwest they was from. The South had it all from Outkast to Luda to Trick Daddy to UGK to Lil Wayne and Juvy. Our music was LIT. There's a reason why artists now, mainly sample southern music from the early 00s. Because our's is the only music worth sampling.

What are you talking about there was alot of great rappers in the East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest, like Jada, Fab, Banks, Game, Twista, Kanye, Eminem. The 2000s was far from the worst era in rap, the south wasnt the only thing that was hot. DMX was considered a 90s rapper too, Ja wasnt even Hip Hop, he was R&B.
