I love it. And, the legs are even splayed. Very nice work. Thanks for making the video.

These are pretty awesome. I'd add an integrated latch instead of the two plywood brackets to keep them together when collapsed. I'd also add some kind of brace to keep the legs from splaying out when you put too much weight on them.

Good point on the plywood brackets. I can see them getting lost in a New York Minute. I also thought about a brace to keep the legs from spreading. The idea I came up with would be a cable or chain, since any sort of ridged brace would foul when folding the legs up.

If you put any significant weight on this, at some point, the legs will just sway apart. There's only the springs holding it up. Especially if you put the weight near one of the horses, it will just give way...

Good effort. Like all new builds it needs tweaking, iron out some small areas. But in the main good. Pallet hard wood would possibly improve the saw horse as they take a lot of abuse.

Nice...trace a thin straight edge piece around the bottom of the legs on a level surface (when it's upright) to get a compound angle ...cut with a Japanese saw.

I know you put a lot of time and effort into this but I’m sorry to say these saw horses will not hold any weight at all. With a little more engineering you might be able to make it work. Really the only part that needs re-engineering is the legs but given that the legs is the main component of a saw horse thats pretty important. If you could find a way of keeping the legs from spreading apart while under weight then you got a winner. Good luck.

It's OK imo. You should stress-test the capacity. If i were commissioned to improve the design, i would say add some chain links of not less than 8mm secure with short Eyebolts and carabiner for easy on/off Might be good for general purpose DIY not commercial/industrial ie i wouldnt trust these trestles to hold up a full pallet of cement or car parts, ya know But design for home user, excellent

You know they make ready made folding steel horses that are more compact and way stronger. Damn where that wood closure clip go! Oops! I just stepped on it and broke it.

Stopped as soon as I saw the table saw. Since I don’t have one, I’ll have to find another way. Thanks anyway.

What a foolish and dangerous design! The only thing preventing the legs from splaying outwards under a load is a f'ing spring!
