    I bet the oil sensor was disconnected because when the fan gets tilted at an angle, the oil would run away from the sensor and that triggered the sensor. So they disconnected it.

    This reminds me of when we had a landscaping business. We had a Little Wonder push blower mainly for leaf cleanups. It had a similar Honda engine on it with the low oil sensor. When using it on a hill the low oil sensor would trip shutting down the engine making the job take longer. So maybe who ever had that fan deleted the sensor for that reason. Also the welds on the impeller broke loose so my brother welded it back together. It got us through the season but eventually because the impeller was off balance it broke the end of the crank off. Good times.

    I come for the intros but stay for the videos. That Honda's fuel issues are the reason my dad used to wear me out about running our gear completely empty before putting it away for the season. Never had any trouble getting things fired up in the spring. I would love to have one of those fans but it would be loud as heck in my shop. Runs like new.

    Sullivans Mowing here in indiana to say what I use for my Sonic Cleaner. I buy a Gallon of Gumout carb cleaner and pop the lid off of it and drop my parts down in and the put the lid back on tight and set a tool box or something behind your Table Grinder and the strap that gallon bucket on top of the grinder and then turn it on for about 30min and pull it out and clean as new! I do have a stove in my barn that I can stick that gallon on to heat it up too for better cleaning. But the vibration coming from the grinder is what creates the sonic pulse wave in the cleaner to break down the deposits in the carb. It truly works! If your careful and make sure the lid is on tight and the gallon zip tied to the grinder.

It had an 18 cylinder rotary engine on it. Airboats are crazy powerful. It was like a Cat 4 hurricane. I'll never forget the gleam in his eye. Pete was pretty nuts.

    Oil Shut Down Tilt Would tilting the engine/fan effect the oil shutdown? I noticed that the engine was over filled with oil and the oil shutdown was disconnected. It had a new air filter. Was someone at the fire department trying to fix it? An exhaust fan can run for a long time. It can run for long enough to burn through enough oil to cause low oil, and have the engine stop due to the oil shut down. The most common reason these fans may not work is low oil. Adding oil or disconnecting the oil shut down may be what fixes the engine normally. The engine did not run. At the firehouse they changed the oil, filter, and plug. It still did not run. They added too much oil. It still did not run. They disconnected the oil shut down, and it still did not run. It was designated to be too old, and sold. Emergency services must have ultra reliable equipment. They will not do major repairs. They buy new. Emergency services is a great place to buy equipment. The best thing is backup generators after a disaster, or storm with major power failure. These generators must not have more than 500 hrs. They must run every month, or something for a test. After a power failure lots exceed 500 hours and are sold. Many are 20kw.

  • @thomashowlett8295
    @thomashowlett82958 ай бұрын

    The low oil sensor was disconnected because when you aim the blower up it causes the oil to flow away from the sensor, shutting off the engine. I get people that bring in their gokarts with the complaint "every time we turn right, it shuts off", or generators that they're not setting up on a level surface. The oil is sloshing away from the sensor.
