The title says it all on this one Folks. A nice Gentleman got ahold of us because he wanted us to show his Grandpa's One-owner 1965 Ford F100 pickup some love on The Classic Truck Ranch. The "Catch"?......None. He was completely serious. Jamie fell in love with it and named it "Fernando".....the rest is...as they say "History".

Nice old ford truck👍👍
These old Fords are great trucks. Amazing that it runs so good after being neglected for so long. You found a good one!

Yes indeed! But it found ME! Thanks for the visit.
I had a 1963 Ford F250 that had a 292 V8 with the same 4 speed setup. I loved driving that truck.
Score ! Love how original it is down to the hub caps !
Wow what an amazing gift that truck is.😊
That is in such great condition! Nice that you got it before it really had a chance to rust further. Seems Jamie has fallen in love with it already. I'm sure she will enjoy it.
That thing cleaned up beautifully. These old fords are so simple to get running, and pretty dang reliable, even after so many years, as long as you maintain them. I’d love to get one of those things for free, or cheap even. Always wanted one. For now I got my old high school truck, a 92 flareside 5.0 5 speed, I’ve had for 15 years now, to tinker around on. She’s a keeper and I’ll never let her go. Lot of great memories working on that truck with my grandpa and my brother. She’s been sitting for a while, but I’m slowly fixing her up and getting her road worthy again. Congrats on getting that sweet old truck going again. Give her a good home. Old girl deserves it.

Wow I love this right here Rick, I guess a drone shot that would be my backyard that little creek running through their beautiful
Heck yeah runs and everything it’s awesome dude yeah I can see the smile on Jamie’s face always here in Michigan
Thanks for cleaning up grandpas old truck. I am sure you guys will enjoy it for many years. It still hurts a little to let it go but I think our conversation said it all. To busy, to old, and to far away. Very sorry to hear about Lou. My condolences to your family. Hope every one had a merry Christmas and hope all have a great new year. Peace out.
Jamie's going to get a workout driving that truck, steering by armstrong & manual trans, brakes. Lube that frontend up good for her. Truck cleaned up nicely after pressure wash. Big upgrade from the road apple. "IT HAS DOORS!!" HA HA HA !!! Have a happy new year and i'll catch you on the next video. PEACE AND LOVE FROM MINNESOTA......BARRY✌
Congrats Jamie, that's my fav. Ford body style. Drove a 65 3/4 ton with work body and 4 speed. It had really impressive reverse, pulled almost full 250 gallon oil 🛢️ tank out of a basement. No problem! Good luck with your 's.
Excellent story about the Truck Paul sounds like a great guy Congrats Jamie Very good shape Clean up well Happy new year
Hi again CTR Rick and Jamie from the D Michigan 😁 hey I ❤. the new ranch hand 👌🎉a pretty solid 65 F150. 🤩💕✌️
Wow that old Ford cleaned up pretty nice, appreciate you sharing Rick,
What a great truck! Thankyou Paul and your family for giving it to a loving home.....We finally have a classic "Ranch" truck! With a little love that truck has many years of service left....Those 6 cyl's are work horses...and looks to be 'Arizona Beige"...my favorite color on those trucks. And the best part is....the bed is solid enough to carry a detachable fork kit for a Kubota L2501 tractor......if Kubota would need anyone to demonstrate/ test the strength/dependability of one of their fine products....
@ClassicTruckRescue

I think the people at Kubota are scared. I think they've seen how hard I've worked "Younkin'", My Kubota L2501 Tractor & they think I'll break their stuff. Seriously though, I could get all this "Ranch Building" stuff done in a heartbeat if I could pluck a few items out of their arsenal. They made a believer out of me. Thanks for the help my Friend....I see what yer doin'.
I can’t wait to see it tuned and ready for the road and seeing a smile on Jamie’s face as she drives it past us it’s going to be amazing!!!!

Cool truck!! Ya all make me feel better after a tough loss of a deer friend. Thank you!!
I’ve had many ford trucks and all were good. The straight 6 is one of fords best engines
Awesome Rick, told you I’d be here super cool dude, let’s bring in the new year yeah
Love Jamie's ❤️ 😍 lovely new truck needs a light cleaning 🎉
try using 2nd gear to take off. 1st gear is more of a bull gear. 2nd will be smoother. good luck. big love from Canada
My brother had a '66 3/4 ton back in the 70's during our high school days...I wish he'd never seen the movie Mr. Majestic....lol
that 6 cyl is the best engine ford had good luck with the truck happy new year
Nice truck, Jamie. Looks like a lot of fun will be had. Happy New Year, my friends.

*Awesome truck for Jamie 🙂 She will have so much fun driving around in it, with the new radio blasting out her tunes. A great transformation after that wash down. I hope one day that the cousin who came to live down here in New Zealand gets to see this truck & remembers great memories about learning to drive in it... Plus also the other cousin who ended up across the ditch from NZ in Aussie (Australia). Rick & Jamie happy new year to you both & all the best for 2024. See you again in your next adventures on Classic Truck Rescue 2024 🙂. NZ*

Hey Guys great looking truck ,and awesome viewers gifting you that truck... Hey I like to warn you and anyone thinking they are doing the old transmissions a favour by changing their oils ... There is an old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it for a reason,..the oil it has in in ,if clean and not burnt is what it is used to, well maybe I'm missing the main point to what really happens when guys do an transmission flush , there can be little pieces of dirt the can get blown into places it shouldn't be and cause way more troubles than it's worth. Well that what I wanted to say. If you absolutely have to change fluid , you might want to just drain and then add ,and skip the flushing with air. I've heard more people have trouble after a flush. Congratulations on making it through the old year , and sorry to hear about Lou's passing... we're sure he's with Jesus now. 🙏🙏🙏 Merry belated Christmas and Happy New year 🎊🎊🎊

Well, it's not a 55-59 Chevy or GMC but it will do. This thing looks very solid. The best part is the price was right. I have seen running 65 F100's that did not look as solid as this one sell in the thousands. Nice find Rick!

240 in that bad boy? My '77 F150 has a 240 someone swapped in in place of the 300, and with the three-on-the-tree and 2.80:1 gears, it slows down uphill even unloaded.
65 first year for Twin I Beam suspention and the first year for the 300 6 cylinder!
I be clear coatin that green in the bed as a lastin tribute to the original owner as it was something that he did with his own hands . Not a ford fan but looks to be a nice rig overall . Obvious a trip back to its original owners grave an his family be on the cards at some stage ? An if you get lou's rig as i would think it would go to you , you could tag along in it to the those good folks . A ford's day out

The green was something my grandfather had in his garage. He was just trying to stop the rust.
I had a friend of mine that had a 1965 Ford the same color his dad bought it brand new in 65 his dad gave it to my friend but it was a automatic Six banger and I got to drive it no power steering
Great job cleaning up that old truck. My first two trucks were Fords. Then I bought Chevy. I got tired of walking...

even if I did have a classic truck you would never see it unless you traded something else for it like a classic 58 chevy Apache step side with spare wheel attachment If you didn't have it or at least a Camaro gotta be a classic in the 60s or a Corvette from the 70s

I have done everything I possibly can to get the house on the property at this point. I cannot physically pick up and move the house. I cut it in half, I made an entrance on the property for it. I cleared a spot for it. I dealt with the county through a process that was frustrating, time-consuming, mentally and financially exhausting. I made over twenty trips to the county. I built a barn because we had to have cows on the property before we could have a house. I fenced for cows, GOT cows and put everything in place to feed and water and care for them. I dug test pits for a soil test. Filled them back in after the test. Designed a septic system by bothering someone repeatedly who knew how to do that. Got a permit for the driveway, got an electrical permit, Got a septic permit, got a foundation permit, got a building permit. You left three comments telling me to get the house moved onto the property for Jamie. I'm all ears. What exactly is it you think I should be doing that I'm not already doing? Excuse me for cleaning up a truck for her while I'm waiting on the movers to bring the house. You go ahead and offer me any suggestions on how I can speed that process up...I'll be out clearing another site since the house can't go in the site I already cleared. I DO make my Wife happy George and I'll play with whatever I want whenever I want. You seem to be feelin' a bit bossy in the New Year.
Why is your house not bring delivery to your property yet .
@ClassicTruckRescue
7 ай бұрын
Because I don't issue permits or have 6-wheel drive trucks. In other words, I have done everything humanly possible on my end. Unfortunately, the movers are experiencing what I was experiencing a couple months ago.....trying to get the approval to do physical work from people who don't do physical work. Hope that makes sense.
