It doesn't need to as long as the miners are finding the gold the can pay there bills / make a profit if anything in the past that held prices down I'm surprised it's not closer to $4000 a ounce it's possibley being held down buy it turning up quicker 🤔✌️

It's all the other countries buying gold to back their currency. Not finding more. But the flip side is there's only so much gold

No. If all else is held constant then an increase of supply will reduce costs.
