Depuis le début des années 1990, le producteur et DJ allemand Freddy K est connu et apprécié pour ses sets dynamiques et fluides qui mettent en transe les raveurs et raveuses du monde entier. Son style, de la techno à 360°, se distingue par des sonorités tantôt douces qui créent une pure extase, tantôt dures et martelées. Les sets de Freddy K sont taillés sur mesure pour le dancefloor.
Alessio Armeni aka Freddy K est un militant de la musique techno. Depuis les années 1990, il écume les dancefloors pour défendre le disque vinyle, soutenir de jeunes talents et sortir la scène techno de l’underground. À la tête de KEY Vinyl, il codirige aussi avec son meilleur pote Max M le label M_Rec, quand il n’est pas en train de concocter une sélection déjantée pour ses sets marathon.
Freddy K commence à mixer lors de sessions after, après avoir dansé les samedis jusqu’au bout de la nuit. En 1993, il n’a que 21 ans lorsqu’il lance "Virus", une émission de radio désormais célèbre diffusée tous les jours de 20 heures à minuit et tous les samedis de minuit à 6 heures du matin, un succès décliné par la suite en soirée techno, billeterie de concerts et magasin de disque. En 1994, Freddy K signe chez le légendaire label ACV qui publie "Control", son premier EP. "Rage Of Age", un album sorti en 1995, est salué partout en Allemagne. Cet opus sombre et bruyant, influencé par ses deux passions, l’acid house de Chicago et le rock, est aujourd’hui un témoignage du Sound of Rome des années 90.
Concert filmé le 8 juillet 2023 à l'occasion du festival allemand Stone Techno au Zollverein, site inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO.

One of my most memorable nights will always be getting loaded on mushrooms & going to the club to see Freddy K in San Francisco in an intimate club setting, with a proper sound system. It was his debut in SF. That night was mystical..
