@Andy Furzeland I have just watched this again, and sadly since my original contribution, Des also is no more. The thing i never noticed before was the comment made by Freddy at the end, "and now a bullfinch" was spoken in imitation of Tommy Cooper, ANOTHER comedy legend. Rip all of them, the world is a smaller place.

It's such a shame that genius is not recognised until a person passes. Freddie was without doubt a comic genius and people never knew what he would do next but you would always laugh no matter what. When he took on his Elvis Presley role he was arguably the best in the business at doing it yet I don't think that was appreciated. I hope people remember him for his talent and genius rather than how he ended up. God bless Freddie, thank you for the laughter.

I've never heard of either of these guys. I found this to be hilarious. Freddie is outrageously funny and Des can sing. Not every singer is a Tom Jones or an Elvis. But there are a lot of singers I like to listen to without comparing them to every other singer. What fun is life without variety. If you only like Tom Jones then don't listen to Des O'Connor. And how does someone "steal" a living. Apparently Des has enough fans to watch and listen and buy his records, to keep him working.

acidictive Yes. I've seen it on KZread. I have watched three versions of it on KZread and I think the 1993 version he did on his tv show is the funniest of the three. I saw him 40 years ago in Paignton Devon. He was so funny. Recently when I've not been well he's really cheered me up.

Freddie Starr was awesome from the day of his debut.
No probs =) Glad you enjoy it as much as I do!
Just seen this, funniest shit I've seen so far! Massive respects to Freddy!
Will never be another like Freddie lol absolute class need to watch his football game
Two brilliant artists I think R I P both of you
give my Freddie Starr any day of the week rather than the Oxbridge twits who dominate comedy today (yes come on down Fry, Laurie et al )

Fry and Laurie? Bit old hat now. Things have moved on, that was the 1980s and 1990s. As for Starr, he was always stuck in the 1970s.
Sleep well sweetheart🌺
Love that sketch brilliant. makes my day every time i see it 👍
Love this so funny x
Fabulous show I remember it well
So naturally bloody funny....
Wow!!
Hi he was the best just remember him as the best❤
Michael,he was definitely! That's a fact! Well said !
Love u Freddie
Why isn't TV this good now 😒
I've never heard of either of these guys. Apparently Des has enough fans to watch and listen and buy his records, to keep him working.
good comedian
C'est une très belle chanson!!
It's impossible how Des managed not to laugh .
RIP so sad to see it ended like this far away .
Very funny. Two of the greatest lost. Both RIP.
Fabulous! One thing though - it's actually the Skye Boat Song (as in the Isle of Skye)!!
