I always said his intelligence was right up there with Jim Morrison's. You can tell his gears were always moving.

As others have said, I love listening to Freddie talk. He was so 'ordinary', not at all arrogant, but very polite, and every time I listen to him speak, I feel like I discover something new about him. I get such a good feeling about this man, gut instinct I guess, but I feel very strongly that he was a good soul, and had a kind heart. I will always regret not seeing him in a live performance, but through interviews like this, I've learned so much about him. Freddie was a legend, his flame will never burn out, and he will be forever loved by those of us who were priveleged to be alive, while he was. I miss you Freddie, you were truly beautiful, body and soul. xx

@@garibaldistudios5406 You're right, he's the absolute worst. Because Brian, Roger and John Deacon never cheated on their wives. Oh no. In fact no rock n roll star ever cheated on their partners. Rock stars are saints. Give me a break. If that's your biggest gripe you're living in a bubble mate. He was struggling with his sexuality and then realized he was probably also poly mentioned by some of his exes. So it wasn't just gratuitous cheating unlike some other people, stars or not.

What I love about Freddy is no matter how many interviews he did, and I'm sure he was very jaded with doing so many, he was always very polite and respectful to the interviewer! And funny!

I can’t believe his body doesn’t exist anymore. Like his dark brown eyes and his voice along with his beautiful facial structure along with his iconic buck teeth doesn’t exist anymore and it never will exist again... I’m so sad. This is it everyone, this beautiful man has left us and never will come back again... such a beautiful human being inside and out

Oh how i agree!!! He is the Epitome of sexy!!!! When they did a close-up of his eyes I did a screenshot. I want to be able to look at those beautiful brown eyes whenever I feel like it. What a beautiful beautiful man. I am the same age now as when he passed away. So to me he is my age not in his 70s like he would be if he were still alive. I would do whatever I have to to get close to him LOL I live in America and have plans to travel to England within the next 3 to 5 years. And you can guarantee that Garden Lodge is on my itinerary!

to me he had 3 distinctively different personalities. The commanding very sure of himself genius on-stage guy...the playful, crazy party-animal off-stage guy..and the shy, gentle & kind low-key guy most people never saw.. I would have loved to know him because if you were his true loyal friend, he would give you his heart and soul.

that's why it gets to me when people post stuff (un-truths) without doing a little research. like the guy who said Freddie didn't smoke til he met jim in 1985..yet there were videos of Freddie smoking in 1981 and 82..and then he claimed to be a friend of Freddie since the 60's..(yea right). @@ronlil100 If you had a brain you'd know that at the time Freddie contracted HIV doctors themselves admitted that nothing was known about what the disease or how the disease was even transmitted, so they couldn't even advise people on what to do to prevent it. By time they discovered it was sexually transmitted and that condoms were key to reducing exposure, it was already too late for Freddie and many others who died from a disease that literally snuck up on everyone stealthily and almost overnight. As many of said, back then there was no such thing as "safe" sex, there was just sex. Straight or gay. So yeah, check your history before you go spouting off at the mouth, mate.

Freddie was smart, just like Jim Morrison. In fact, Jim could be reading his poetry to Freddie in heaven right now. they were both quirky and very intelligent. I like them both.

As much as Freddie hated doing interviews he was very good at it. The man really was on a different level than the rest. The greatest ever! We miss you Freddie!

I love Freddie Mercury, so much. I had just learned about his band. I know that lots of people might say that that is not enough time to love a band and know most of their songs. Well Iv'e written down all of their songs and I love about all of them, that's a true Queen fan. I love all the members in Queen, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. They were a really good group to be, I love Queen. I really do.

He was such an amazing man, incredibly kind, humble, adorable and smart. I'm so happy that these interviews were kept and shared through this wonderful space so more people get to know, who is to me the greatest artist of the past century. Miss him without even met him. Impossible not to love him

He was and is , Always be the ONLY Genuine Genius Entertainer who was a straight shooter humble, shy and gorgeous man inside out who was Always unfairly treated and dishonoured by the British Media just like Diana was!! But there is Only and will Always be for ever One Freddie on earth once in a life time!! Too bad we didn’t appreciate him Enough!! I miss you Freddie 😢 Even though I never had the chance to meet him or see Queen live. After seeing Bohemian Rhapsody I can’t stop listening to Queen music and watching interviews with Freddie. It’s weird to miss someone you’ve never met, but he’s a true legend to me!

His talking Voice warms my Heart Idk why, but his talking voice is as unique as his singing one (in my opinion)

Gosh, I miss Freddie...brilliant, insightful and extremely articulate as well. One of the truly seminal voices in music. Thanks for posting this!

My mum was in Edinburgh when he died and *everywhere* people were sad and in mourning

There is a sigaette in hand and a beer in front in all his interviews and his beautiful eyes, lip dance, his voice, his shy look, his clever talk ❤ Freddie is love, he was fool of life

Мурад Гусейнов well he did say that he doesn't want to be in heaven, hell is much better, so many different people, heaven is boring. He said it in one of his interwievs, don't remember which but he already had short hair and the moustache.

Freddie is really beautiful and I love to hear him talk. I love the contrast of his stage persona and the way he is off stage.

His voice was so awesome and strong. Queen loved him so much. they had such a close bond...like brothers. He will always be missed.

Freddie mercury's intelligence and wit are two of my favorite things about him. When he answers interviewers questions you can see his humor. His laugh is cute too.

This is one of the loveliest interviews I've ever seen with Freddie. Not the content or the setting, but his relaxation, his honesty. Often he was flippant, or trying to shock, but here he is just ... real. Gentle. Lovely.

His opinion on Ego and how difficult it is to manage was stark, frank and completely surprising... “one foot on the ground.” Candid. I like him even more.

I'm from England (UK) as English and white as it gets, but I am familiar with the sounds of different cultures. I must admit I probably did not recognise this in his voice when I was younger.

I love his eyes, sooo beautiful. Freddie, darling, we miss you and we still love you!

I suffer from debilitating depression and have been having a really difficult time lately. Freddy passed away when I was 14 years old and because of where I was living, I had no access to Queen's music. As I got older I became more exposed to their music and now even more so than ever. I find myself watching these interviews over and over again, finding new ones, and rewatching ones I've already seen. For a brief period, while I watch him communicate with those conducting the interview or with others, I'm transported from this very dark place and it makes me feel like I can breathe for a moment. Without a better way to explain it, it's like I can literally feel my heart smile, actually form a smile inside my chest, when he's discussing the band, himself, and their future endeavours. Even if it's just for a moment, it helps me to get a break from being in the dark. People like Freddy have passed on while other people who aren't worth a glass of air still walk the earth. It's not fair.
