To me Freddie King was the man! Blues guitar, singer extraordinaire/genius. The man could play just one single note and made it sound like magic! I love Freddie's music. I play a lot of his music on my guitar. I owe him. Found out that Billy Cox is playing on this video. Another great one! Long live their music!

FYI - The studio 45 is very different and worth a listen, too: fewer ripping blues licks, more repetitive riff-based verses. It's off his all-instrumental album "Let's Hide Away and Dance Away with Freddy King." The album's more famous songs are "Hideaway" and "The Stumble."

@@richardread8281 Can’t believe everything you read Richard. They were a successful band for 3 years when NOEL left. He and Jimi started to clash in the studio which didn’t help the situation. That’s when Noel decided to leave the band and join his band Fat Mattress full time. In addition, Jimi had promised Billy Cox that he would send for him years before. That was the perfect time to call his old Army buddy to join the band as Noel’s replacement. Have a nice day and Happy New Year Richard!

I used to play guitar around Dallas. One of my local heroes was sitting in with my band and my singer told him that I stole one of his licks. He said "cool, which one?" I played it and he laughed and said "oh, I stole that from Bugs (Henderson)." And I'm pretty sure he got it from Freddie.

Am I the only one amazed by the fact he can get such vibrato while wearing his guitar so awkwardly? I would always feel like I was gonna drop it if I had my strap that way.
