Freddie's solo on Intrepid Fox is nothing but insane!
I play bass and I had a chance to jam with Michael Carvin. He liked my playing and he played so well he had the windows shaking. We were rehearsing in an old house in Los Angeles many years ago
Freddie is on here, his free wheeling style is unbelievable.
This is great and rare live recording. Great outfit style and killer hard bop muzik. So rare George Cables play on keyboard.
Holy shit Freddie on heres that rainy day!
And Kent Brinkley. I met him too.he was so cool
Michael played so cool and hip
They are killing it here. And the clothes are fantastic. They all look incredible!
Great hard-bop stuff by Freddie and his men blowing away and swinging away on this great session. Cheers!

You were very fortunate. I missed out by one year seeing Freddie live. I was in 1975/77 at the Montreux Jazz Festivals. Freddie was there in 78. One of the greatest trumpeter in the history of jazz. Be well & Cheers!
Top notch Hub! Great group! Intrepid Fox - Killin it! Incredible!

I love Freddie my fave trumpeter, the band is on point no questions, but the drummer is firing on all cylinders!

About time a video of Freddie and the GREAT Junior Cook came out. The tenor saxophone's ''Uncrowned'' Heavyweight Champ!!!! (too bad we had to hear the ENDING of ''Sky Dive''...hmmmmm...)
