There is just a handful of actors who can share screen space with 100 other people and make all of them fade into the background and draws your undivided attention. Freddie Highmore is one of these actors.

actually, if an actor makes all the other actors fade into the background and draws our undivided attention, then he/she is not a very good actor. A good actor knows how to share the stage/screen with the rest of the cast as appropriate for the scene. Freddie does that. He has an undeniable presence but he does not overshadow anyone else. This show has a great group of actors that all shine.

In the Alfred Hitchcock's version they buried a weighted coffin but i think Bates Motel did it so much better by having Norman rob her grave. That was so much darker, more morbid. Freddie Highmore is an exceptional actor to really make you feel the weight of that situation.

Kyler Easterson uh... how can you not know from the beginning of the whole series that eventually Norman kills his mother? that's kind of the whole thing we know it builds toward from Psycho.

Well, I've never seen Psycho... I just started watching this show on netflix. I don't really care, it's just a stupid idea to put a spoiler like that right in the title of a youtube video.

Kyler Easterson HOW have you never seen Psycho?? Go watch it!!! It makes the show so much better! It just seems to me like watching this show and not knowing Norman kills his mom is like... watching Star Wars and not knowing Vader is Luke's father at this point. like, any spoiling is on you for not knowing what everyone should know anyway :P
