Great to see Victor Feldman as a young boy. He became an international multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, drums & vibraphone. Highly talented, he went to America where his great talents were recognised by the greatest star musicians there.

So many wonderfully informed comments. Such a nice change from the norm on this platform. Would like to add to these by identifying the movie this clip came from as 1942 Arthur Askey vehicle King Arthur Was A Gentleman. I'm a great fan of Vic's brief stint with the Cannonball Adderley Quintet on the latter's jazz albums At The Lighthouse and Plus. Highly recommended.

As a youngster Feldman played with the Glenn Miller Orchestra when they arrived in UK in WW2. He was billed as "Kid Krupa "!

Incredible! I have an album called "The Arrival of Victor Feldman" with the great Scot LaFaro on bass. I didn't know any of this early history of Victor's.

Great LP! His keyboard work on Shelly Manne and His Men at the Blackhawk is stellar as well.

The "fat soldier" playing drums is MAX BACON, drummer with AMBROSE And His Orchestra for many years.

Not to take away from their talents, but I heard a lot of Chick Webb and Gene Krupa when young Victor attacks the skins.

Ah yes;”Make America great again: Take is back to a more gentile time and place in our history ( even if it was during World war ll) when we were entertained watching a young adolescent white male aspiring musician literally walk over to the drum set where a African American adult male drummer named Freddy Crump is drumming and grab a stuffed image puppet off the drum set and toss the dummy off stage. For those of you that say relax it’s only a movie just enjoy it. It you know anything about American history you would also understand at the time of this movie; it was common for a young white child in most of America to refer to and adult African American by there first name, and for the adult African American to refer to the white child as Mr or ms or some other title of that indicated a subordinate social status of the adult African America.

Agree completely. It's a truly despicable part of our past and, unfortunately, our present.
