Fred Dibnah's work revisited, Bancroft Mill chimney at Barnoldswick
Mr H says goodbye to his 40;s as he visits Barnoldswick on the Lancashire Yorkshire border to take a look at one of the late Steeplejack Fred Dibnah's favorite industrial heritage sites 'The Bancroft Mill Engine Museum' and it's iconic 124ft chimney that Fred had worked on and managed to convince his third wife Shelia to have a go at climbing with him back in 1999.

Lovely, thanks Mr H. It's great hearing a real Lancashire accent, reminds me of my friend Alvin who has now sadly passed. Greetings from South Yorks
NICE 1 MR H 😎😎
Good video nice to revisit these magnificent places now and get an update on how things are going. I think iv seen nearly all Fred’s programs what a man he was. Particularly love the engine houses and machine works Best wishes from Ayrshire 🏴🇬🇧
Love watching your videos mr h
Happy Birthday Mr H
Love these fred videos thankyou .
welcome to the fifties, had a nice holiday in Barnoldswick some years ago, sadly the museum was closed at the time, need to go back again
Fantastic!
Amazing! And, Happy Birthday!
Last week-end was a Fred binge watch. Avec home brew. Fred visited the Crossness pumping station at the southern, outfall end of the then newly constructed London sewerage system. The largest beam engine at that time. The four cylinders were named after Q. Victoria's kids. There's a great doc called the Great Stink. Well worth a watch imo. The architecture and internal decor is fitting as the bulk of the sewerage system, being underground, can't be seen. Thanks, pal. Proper Norf. 💪
Good to hear Mrs H, and little Toby James again, following his dad around to see what's going on x
What a cracking little town Barlick is I'm sure Fred would have liked the place. I've only just found your channel because of my interest in Fred and I'm really enjoying your content. Cheers
Not forgetting of course that there was also a cameraman up there with him. Brave chap.
Good to see your channel pop up I loved watching Fred thank you for the look around Barnoldswick and Happy Birthday for tomorrow!!
Glorious
Sheila climbed many of the chimneys in that time. Theres a story by fred when a camera man followed them up and he was green 😂 sheila took the camera and the guy lay down on the scaffolding at the top to compose himself. Good old stories. Keep up the good work fella. Good wishes from scotland ❤️🏴

Happy birthday Mr H. Superb video, thoroughly enjoyed it. When’s the next pie video? Love them too.
nice to see you back mr h hot pot
Megga. Best wishes
P.S. Accrington NORI brick. Iron backwards. Dropped mi ma's chimney breast in 1984. Crikey! Chisel would just jump back off. Boing!.
Awesome video.👍 only just noticed you've surpassed the wigan waster in subs and views aswell. Well done.💥
Climb the Chimney stack.. Like good old Fred Dibnah did.
Good video about one of my heroes. My only criticism is you could do with a clip on mic for better sound.
This boiler has a built-in air filter before the chimney!
Love Fred rest his soul. good vid but the audio is dodgy in places.
I would not live within 50 meters of a tower like this, no matter how it was built, just saying, and i Loved Fred, he was a proper bloke,
FRED ERECTION WILL STAND PROUD FOREVEMORE
Hi there how get on that tv Lisbon problem did win case
All this industry of textile manufacturing is gone too. At least engine and boiler are saved
Music drowns you out when you’re showing the pictures. Thought his wife was Susan not Sheila?
