I’m so sorry for your hard times with your love! I lost my brother in March and I am trying so hard to carry on as normal, but I’m not myself - and listening to these words made me burst in to tears!! We’re all really trying and we must be gentle on ourselves! Big love! This music is magic ❤

When Fred’s vocals come in, and he sings “I’ve been broke, I’ve been bent out of shape”. Man… that just hits all the nerves. It hits such a resonance. I lost both my parents before I was 12, and now I’m 33, and this song just captures so much of my life in such a beautiful, perfect way. The best music in life can articulate my feelings in a way that I never could. Thank you, Fred.

I don't know what is it about Fred again but man your songs make me cry, or you tap into deep emotions which have been needing to come out for a while. I lost my dad 8 years ago and I've never been the same since. Being broke and bent out of shape is so relatable. As is being lost for a while. Life goes on and is beautiful, but you have this undercurrent of sadness stirring beneath the surface. Nothing will ever be the same, and you've forever changed as a person and how you view the world.

I totally get this. My dad died 2 years ago and you've described exactly how I feel. And there are songs that tap into the vulnerability of knowing things will never quite feel the same again. But there is beauty amongst the sadness. Sorry for your loss ❤

Fred, I know you don't know me, but some day you will! I saw you at Coachella and haven't stopped listening to you since. Ive heard your Boiler Room set over 100 times since then and the ending always just make me break down in ways I never could of imagined. I could never imagine someone's words saying the same thing that goes on in my mind ever since a semi crashed into me 9 years ago. I feel you so much Fred, because that's when I realized that the hardest thing isn't what we go through. Its when the people we truly love experience the unspeakable. I can only imagine what my parents went through when they got a call at 1am saying that their youngest child had just been in an accident caused by a semi truck. In the end, all we can do is try and now this is the song is on repeat in my head when Im finishing a run or staying after to help a student. Ive been lost for a while, but ill really trying and that all that counts. I cant wait till the day I meet you!

I just got out of a long distance relationship and this is the song I listened to while going through it. First time I see the clip and while she never got ill this really feels like what I did - living a life while always having this second life of mine in the back of my head. To add to that - I work on the South Bank not too far from where the video is shot, it's literally where I used to go on my lonely lunchbreaks and call her. He's going to explode in the next 5 years. The dude's music connects with random fucks who don't like electronic music, DJ sets or any of the other stuff real fans care about. It's absolutely WILD to see how many people that the boiler room set alerted to his greatness. I'd give him 5 years max and he's the biggest DJ on the planet or he goes another way and turns to megaproducing for the stars full time. Keep going Fred.
