Frasier Stars Who Sadly Passed Away
Throughout the ‘80s and early ‘90s, “Cheers” was one of NBC’s most successful and beloved series. Although fans of the show said goodbye to many of its characters in 1993, at least one lived on via his own successful spinoff: Dr. Frasier Crane.
“Frasier,” like its predecessor, ran for its own 11 seasons and welcomed a number of new stars to its roster. But in the years since the show’s 2004 finale, some of its familiar faces have left us. From one of the show's main characters to a famous American astronaut, these are the “Frasier” stars who sadly passed away.

Any really good sitcom that’s a nearly impossible question as you love most of the characters if it’s one of your favourite shows. But to choose a less typical choice, Bebe. I really like her lol

I loved John Mahoney and was sad to hear he died. A great actor and a lovable presence. The actors were all so talented, I loved the show.
I'm surprised this video didn't mention the creator, David Angell. He and his wife were among the passengers on American Flight 11 on September 11th 2001. Rest in Peace.

Never understood why the Daphne character was British? What does it add? Her voice was irritating and she was super temperamental.
Thanks to God for giving us all of these wonderful people who made us laugh and uplifted a country filled with media sex and violence. These people will be remembered for a long time…especially Mahoney and Eddie. Frazier and his brother were hilarious. So was Daphne. The writing was superb.
I'm remembering David and Lynn Angell without whom Frasier would not have been such a hit.

Yes, his accent on Frasier was continuously plausible, perfect as a disgruntled ex- NYC cop. Ditto his fellow native Brit naturalistic character actor Bob Haskins, as Frasier's retired high school bullying gym coach.

A lot of great actors. No wonder television feels so hollow these days.
I nearly died choking on coffee and laughing during Frazier .LITERALLY 🏴🇬🇧
John Mahoney would hang out in Oak Park at the bar in the Carleton Hotel before he passed away. I saw him a couple times and he was always a perfect gentleman. Never pulled the "do you know who I am" routine.
Love this show so much. I always get a barrel of laughs.
so many great actors and great people. they dont make them like these any more. we have sadly lost far too many of the great ones it is so great that we can always go back and see them and remember them.
I adore the show Fraser,, all the quirky characters. Love Nile,s and Daphne,s growing love story.
Frasier is my favorite character but all so good .👌
Still makes me laugh to this day!!
Kelsey Grammer has the unique distinction of being involved with THREE of the greatest TV shows in history- Cheers, Frasier, and The Simpsons (the voice of Sideshow Bob).

Grammer also holds the character longevity record. His portrayal of Frasier Crane is/was longer than James Arness' portrayal of Marshall Matt Dillon on "Gunsmoke." Reportedly, Grammer phoned Arness about the situation. Arness was not pleased.

Lilith played by Bebe Nuewirth, was welcome and should have been included in many more storylines. I also liked very much Kate Costas played by Mercedes Ruehl, Frasiers Radio Station Manager. Then there's another Station Manager, Kenny Daly played by Tom McGowan. Thing about even the extras on Frasier, I felt like I knew them and felt warmth towards them.

Mahoney was an awesome actor.
A great show, with GREAT writers, and well-chosen actors for each and every role. Nobody has a "sad" ending, to those who have strong faith in our heavenly Father. The millennials who came up with the script & narrator for this, seem "sad".

Gone but never forgotten R.I.P.
John Mahoney was acting his entire life who starred in the asphalt jungle with Marilyn Monroe John Huston movie and had so many supporting roles there's too many to count
Brilliant show!
Funny, MASH and Frasier, best shows ever
Steirs was a ton of fun that played practical jokes on his fellow costars. I was fortunate in the opportunity to observe this as an extra in the made for tv Perry Mason episode: "Case of the Avenging Ace" he was so much fun. Ultimately, I only ended up in a single scene, walking with my back to the camera as I passed by Perry Mason (Aron Burr) in a hallway, but what a great experience, RIP.

LOL......RAYMOND Burr.! Aaron Burr was our Vice President back in 1801-1805
Well you forgot Fritz Weaver. Really Loved John Mahoney! SO good in anything he was in!!
The level at which this show operated simply cant be topped. The wit, timing and underlying serious tones are something no single show in history has been able to replicate, its hard to believe its a cheers spin off which pretty much was like an oldskool version of Friends. Becker probably came the closest to beating Frasier in terms of tone and wit. Nowadays all we get is one liner sex jokes of men and women chasing each other like kids. No wit no sophistication or themes of depression masked by comedy. A lot of the appeal of the show stems from the very real portrayal of how insecure people deal with life with wit and humor. Frasier has a sad ending where he eventually does end up alone while chasing someone who has little to no interest in him because of his inability to trust his own emotions. I always felt very sad for him as martin and Niles both go on to have happy lives. I guess he did move in with fredrick and got a funny little dog after all.

Wow - thank you for this. Gotta be John Glenn~ RIP 🙏
I'm 40 but now feel like 80 from watching this video
So many legend died in thier 70's. Today 70 is not that old at all, but these guy did amazing jobs. But hey, Tom Hanks, Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and so on all over 60 so, it's easy to see that if you are pure talent, you will get there. Still too many, too soon. Also. Fighting like a champ against that nasty cancer is really like a Martin Crane "move". Never give up, that man was made of gold and iron.
This was a really well composed list with great details about the episodes and actors. Thanks for this, very informative.

Thank you for this.
An impressive array of actors, all of them. I was shocked by the passing of Bob Hoskin. I love Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Eddie Murphy was the first choice for that film but he turned it down because he thought it made no sense. Hoskin once said that he believed he had a close resemblance to Danny DeVito and he wanted them to play brothers in a film but sadly, that did not happen. I would have loved to see that!
Nice to remember them, and the show fondly🇬🇧🙏😍💞💯🌍😁🌎🗣️😅🤣. Thanx 4 that, with love from LONDON 😍🇬🇧💯🙏🗣️😁

My husky and I used to watch this together. He often sang with the song. I had HD TV a few years back and all I had to say was " you wanna watch Frasier?" He was right up on the bed with me. Dogs can actually make out what they are seeing on HD TV apparently. He loved Frasier. It was my relax show as is Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda. Twin Peaks was too for a while. Until I watched Laura's Diary.

Dogs don't need HD television, they've been watching regular TV for all the years I've known dogs. 72 years. Perhaps not strangely, Afghan hounds, which are sight hounds, have always watched and listened intently. They responded best to other dogs, horses, and deer. All dogs are talented and smart in their own ways.
Loved Fraser too
My favorite character was Niles. His on again, off again marriage to that pretentious twit and then later marriage to Daphne for me was hilarious. He never came across as pompous as Frazier, more pathetic but likeable and very witty. Next would be his Dad but Eddie was my most favorite of all of them being an animal person.

Wow! There were alot!
I’ll always remember Robert Loggia for his role as Jason Cutler from Over the Top, Mr. MacMillan from Big and especially Frank Lopez from Scarface.
David Stiers was also on Star Trek: Next Generation as a love interest of Lwaxana Troi ...although an accomplished scientist on the verge of saving his planet, their tradition was that at a certain age a person voluntarily died...that tradition, of course, enraged Lwaxana in defense of people still being able to contribute to society regardless of age
