Exactly....a long run-up for the delivery of a perfect line. This series does produce these occasional laugh-out-loud moments

'You intended to order 24 chairs and 1 Christmas tree, right?' His delivery and his expression after Frasier growls 'yes' is just flawless Niles.

Agreed. They have done a great job filling the Niles void with David & his professor buddy Alan/Allen

I like that that season one has been one long tribute to John Mahoney. Niles a was break out character, but Martin was the heart.

I think the big line was “Oh great, Christmas at the Sizzler.” You know he abhors buffets.

@@orangefox1231so the point here is Fraiser is so focused on the details that his party isn’t going to be as he’d like or planned (this character has a strong motivation to be better than other people and is dwelling on the point that this will be a reflection on him as unable to plan a party correctly either because of a real lack of intelligence or simply because it looks that way) that Fraiser forgets/can’t see the big point that it’s Christmas and people gather to be with each other rather than a challenge to see how impressive his party might have been.

Man, that is some feeble comedy. Those guys playing Feddie and David are horribly miscast. Especially Freddie. The guy can't act.

They should have kept Roz's appearance a secret, making it a peasant surprise like John Mahoney's appearance in the first episode (using old footage) But everything has to be leaked these days (otherwise no one would tune in)
