The new show feels sadder somehow. Not just because of the passage of the years, and the loss of Frasier’s father… but the complete absence, of the rest of the original cast. Seeing Kelsey (who is always great) playing alone, against the rest of this younger cast, leaves me feeling sadder, remembering that the magic of the original show was not only the brilliance of the writers and producers, but the chemistry of the original cast, playing against each other.

Exactly. The writing in Frasier 2023 is atrocious and there's absolutely no chemistry between the characters. Kelsey has to carry every scene, but that's an impossible task. So instead he's left to stand there and pull hat tricks (as this scene amply demonstrates). The original Frasier was absolutely brilliant. The reboot is just too cringy to watch. One thing that would have been amazing is if they created a completely new spin-off of Frasier...pick ANY character: Bebe, Roz, Noel, Kenny, Bulldog, Niles, Lilith, Eddie...anyone...and it would have been better. The reboot is just one long sequence of self-referential jokes and forced "now times" relevance. So far this show is on the bottom with "The Big Bang Theory"...ughhh! :(

I think this show is rather good. But you do have a point. It would be nice to do a blend if they could and play off some of the older cast and almost pull a cheers. Where they have some of the older cast on from time to time. Like people he used to work with. old girlfriends and family.

Well don't compare it to the original version to decide whether it belongs on TV now. Compare it to other sitcoms on television right now. Nothing's going to match the original version, that's long syndicated By rebooting the show - they might be increasing the value of the original. This show may not make a lot of money but bringing back the old one through this reboot might make more, introduce another generation to the old version. Yet to decide whether it belongs on TV, the question is: is it funnier than other modern sitcoms? How does it rate against the current competition? It seems like a normal family - heterosexual parents are divorced, still civil and trying to get along Frasier's still can't get a date Somebody on the show drinks too much. And someone has a British accent So it seems to be a little bit different than some of the modern sitcoms. I haven't seen two guys making out yet...

OMG. If this is an example of the new Frasier show. Just cancel it already. It's too painful to watch. I am being triggered and traumatized by this new show.

It feels like a joke of a series. And the fact it has scenes set at Harvard in 2023🙄

This reboot is awful and it isn't even funny. I love the original show. And of course they need a little time to get into the right groove. But these are so awful. His friend is a tenured professor who doesn't go to class. He can't communicate with his students and these students are certainly not Harvard quality. And this whole plot in class with his nephew is stupid. I like the actor playing the nephew but they just need to reduce some of the slapstick.

This is so cringe. What crappy sitcom writers did they hire for this? Why do they write all classrooms the same? If Iv toss your this was set in a New Mexico community college, you’d believe me but for the decor.

Really want to give this show a chance, but early episodes thus far seems really forced. Trying too hard, or something - Liked the humor about the Frazier's TV Show, and his distaste of it, Etc. Just need to work from that and other areas. I have to say it's a disappointment right now, at best!

Dies anyone remember that episode of Frasier where Diane vone to Seattke to stage her play - a very thinly veiled portrait of her time at Cheers? This Frasier reboot feels a lit like that vanity project in search of funds. The characters are awful 2 dimensionsl thriwbacks to the real ones, who posture abd preen only to lamebt how much they love the maon chatacter. 🤮

I don’t think the writers of this ever met someone from Harvard … or even bothered to google it ..So sad to see my favourite show sold out so shamelessly … devastated. I would have bought the crappy subscription just for the this show … unsubscribe x a billion
