    Why are inline skaters not doing oppo spins out or multiple transfers on a rail? Skiers have been doing them for a long time already... does inline still have so much room to grow?

  • @weekendpiratetoo

    @weekendpiratetoo

    9 ай бұрын

    They do everything. It just depends on the skatepark setup and style of skating. This course was more of street setup the way they custom built it for this competition and everyone killed it. In-line skating is very similar to skiing

  • @Jimmyhickey90

    @Jimmyhickey90

    @@weekendpiratetoo that's why i ask cause im not familiar with inline but very familiar with skiing... and in skiing the rail tricks are more technical than what i see here which was surprising cause skis are so much bigger and heavier.

  • @weekendpiratetoo

    @weekendpiratetoo

    9 ай бұрын

    @@Jimmyhickey90 Im not sure what you mean by more technical I watch both and skating is much more technical with many more switch ups and variations that can be done when it comes to grinding rails

  • @Jimmyhickey90

    @Jimmyhickey90

    @@weekendpiratetoo maybe theses features were just too small to show that off... for example didn't see a single swap, and and very few 2s out. Which is just sorta baseline in urban skiing

  • @weekendpiratetoo

    @weekendpiratetoo

    9 ай бұрын

    @@Jimmyhickey90 so basically a frontside swap or a backside swap in skating would be called a switch up and it’s a very basic in skating. There are hundreds of different switch ups skaters can do because of the different grind plates on the bottom and sides of the skates. It can get very technical. There aren’t alot of switch ups done here in this video but on long rails you can see skaters doing 5-10 switch ups on a single grind. They also can 360, 540, 720, 900. Flips and everything off rails so it all just depends on the course just like skiing.

    @@weekendpiratetoo I made that comment seeing his first trick. He outskated everyone and it wasn't even close. Montre is one of my all time faves and I felt he couldn't keep up for once. I hope Cudot keeps it up for a bit cause back when he first started popping up as a kid I knew Bruh could easily be one of the top 10 of all time. I feel like one day all of us dudes gotta vote on top 50 of all time. Even then it's hard to narrow down only 50.
