Jordan, as with all your tours of historical attractions, we found this broadcast entertaining, informative and exceptionally interesting. Possibly because Roosevelt played such an important role in global politics, combined with the fact that he passed away on this property, we found this tour quite emotive, the place seems to have such a peaceful (almost private) atmosphere. The unfinished portrait was truly impressive. Many thanks Jordan for all these amazing broadcasts.

FDR sold America. All of our modern day issues stem largely from this era. He was a dupe, influenced by criminals.

What a great vlog. Thank you for sharing Jordan. Fun fact, I am related to the Roosevelt’s on my moms side. I have been to FDR home in Hyde Park. It’s a lovely home, with lots of dark wood paneling throughout the house. It’s very dark inside. Darker than the house in Warm Springs.

Thanks Jordan for the tour. I can’t walk though anymore, because of my knees and having copd. It takes me back when I would take my neices to tour of history for our state, Alabama. I would do this for the summer when they was out of school. Thanks again, I enjoyed it.

Jordan, Well Done ! I Love History and I do Enjoy these. What a Nice Place for a President to Relax and get away from work for a little bit. When I visit these type of sites, I think... " Wow, I am in a place walking where A Leader, Famous, or Amazing figure walked. These item were theirs, they wore these, touched these things. " Love the Historical sites and You do an Amazing just telling the story, explaining what we see. Thank You.

I’ve been to FDR’s home in Hyde Park. Really cool stuff! FDR was actually extremely ill in the months leading up to his death. He suffered from several seizures. He even had a seizure while negotiating parts of Manchuria in exchange for Stalin’s entrance in the war against Japan at the Yalta Conference. Stalin basically bullied him and misunderstood FDRs eyes rolling into the back of his head as an agreement to Stalin’s proposal for land in Manchuria.

FDR had a Presidential yacht the "Potomac" it is located in Oakland Ca. The ship was bought by the Port of Oakland for $15,000. The Port of Oakland and other organizations then completed a $5 million restoration of the Potomac, and it opened to the public in 1995. The ship is now owned by the Potomac Association and is an FDR museum. It can be visited near Jack London Square in Oakland, California, and is a National Historic Landmark. In this video, that may be a model of it at 7:31 min mark

what got me was the bathrooms had toilet paper on the rolls that was brown with age so at that time it had been there 30 years almost. It seems museums like to do that leave something from the time do that was there. On Sullivan's Island is a small partially underground military base from WWII ( I guess it was to monitor the coast to make sure Germany I guess did not come to attack) you can tour, and it has a Baby Ruth bar brown with age.

Have you ever watched the Movie Hyde Park on Hudsen? Bill Murray as FDR and Laura Linney as his cousin who he had an affair with during the visit of the King of England? Based on fact, it's worth a watch. Definitely makes you see a different side of FDR. Not the same place I know, but check it out if you haven't ! Spoiler, NSFW kind of flick!
