Saturday morning, 06/29/2024, this concert just popped up from Atlantic City, NJ a few days ago. I'm sixty, born near Frankie in Philadelphia, lived in AC, NJ, my eighty year old dad died last year, we live in Winter Haven,Fl, was supposed to take him to see Frankie here in Florida, but among all of his other horrendous illnesses he had and beat, stage four cancer got him. I was and still am every morning I open my eyes, more devastated than the previous day, but per his dying wish, I take care of mom and my fifteen year old niece and move forward. It's hard because I battle severe degenerative disc disease and many other neurological problems that go with it and ready to have a shoulder replacement, knee replacement, and hopefully disc replacement on the two lower discs. Watching Frankie at ninety, and seeing the energy that the music and fans gives him is so true what performers say. I only took my three meds and only one pain pill while watching, usually takes the scheduled four to make me function somewhat normally to get through the day, but the energy boost watching Frankie at night ninety, was literally making me feel better and forget I'm in excruciating pain and can't bend over to put my shoes on. I am still a musician myself and play drums in a band, we do a lot of different occasions for folks,as well as clubs, and it's difficult at times with the neuropathy, always praying before a show that the stick doesn't fall from my hands, but I guess it's the energy from the people that make me hold it, I don't know. I am still wiping my eyes from the tears, thinking about how dad and I used to go to concerts, lunch, dinner, sporting events, fishing, play cards on Friday night with the guys, the casino, etc..., when he passed, I gave the two quite costly tickets, front row, to my uncle and aunt. There was no way I could take mom, I told her, we are supposed to be having fun, Frankie would have looked at us and wondered why we were the only two people in front continuously wiping tears from our face.

first time I saw the 4 Seasons was 1971 and then many times over the years (plus the years he toured as a solo artist). Their catalogue of great songs ranks up there with the best musical acts ever. Watching KZread concert clips of McCartney (82), Mike Love (83)/Beach Boys, Rod Stewart (79) and countless other older artists show how age changes vocal abilities. For someone to wonder how Frankie at 90 sounds like he's 60 isn't a troll, but a legitimate question. We all know many artists in concert that use backing tracks, enhanced vocals, computer aides and even some lip syncing. That's what it is these days. That being said, thank you Frankie for so many years of music. Rest in peace former 4 Seasons Tommy DeVito (died 2020), Joe Long (2021), Nick Massi (2000), Don Ciccone (2016) and producer/writer of many of their great tunes Bob Crewe (2014).

I have to say one more thing. I never made a point of making fun of anyone because we are all different, but most of the people who wonder about Frankie singing or not, are usually the young generation, who should be quiet. I'm sixty, in good condition because I work harder than ever to stay that way. Especially with my severe degenerative disc disease and many other neurological problems that go with it, in my hey day of being an athlete, I was five foot two, solid muscle one seventy five, now sixty, slim, solid, but one hundred forty, makes the two worse severely deteriorated discs at the bottom and overall makes me feel better, more mobility. Every time I am in public, I see, especially girls, from twenty to forty, two hundred plus pounds of just one hundred percent over weight. Shopping carts full of everything from doughnuts to cookies and cakes, but never make fun of anyone because as my late, great dad taught me growing up, we are all different and never to hurt anyone because of looks, skin color, religion, etc... we are all human beings with feelings, so lets praise Franki for making us happy and giving us a smile especially in this crazy world today

Sorry fans, he's miming to a vocal track. The mic has a switch to allow him to speak between songs or even between lines. It's a digitally enhanced pre-recorded vocal that he's been using for years. Too much evidence online of him fluffing lines or letting his real voice appear by accident - it sounds horrific. The band and the 4 backing singers are performing live - kept in sync with a click track. At least only he's promised it's his last tour.

@@sek795 The differences in timbre between speaking and singing voice is one giveaway. The ennunciation of the prerecorded vocal tracks is crisp and clear as you would expect studio recorded track to be, while his speaking voice is thin and sounds old and tired, lacking energy and is obviously the voice of a man his age. The distance he holds the mic away from his mouth as he "sings" is inconsistent with the sound being produced as well - you can't get that "punchy. in-your-face" kind of vocal sound when that kind of mic is held 2 feet away from the mouth. SOURCE: I'm a touring theatre professional for the past 40 years and work with pre-recorded backing tracks FREQUENTLY with many different artists and shows. It's simply the way things are done these days. It's not a knock on anyone, it's just the way it is.

Ive seen Frankie 4 times in my life. In 1974 I was a 15 yr old kid who went to hear that great falsetto but he never sang it. I was so disapointed, found out later that he was practically deaf. Thankfully I grew up, and saw him again in 1987 knowing the falsetto was gone ,but i enjoyed the show and wasnt dissapointed. saw him again in 1995 and i thought it was his best show id seen, in 2004 by some quirk of fate and some smooth talking from my new wife I got a VIP ticket to a sold out show in Reno, show was the best i had seen yet, as he belted a few falsetto notes, but the highlight was getting a photo and a brief conversation with him after the show. I just saw this video and he did as great a job as anyone could have a falsetto at 90 years old. I wish I could see him once more after this video before he finally retires or god retires him. Honestly im amazed he is better now then he was in 1974, i guess like a fine wine he just gets better with age. God bless Frankie Valli

I have mixed feelings about what people say about him not singing. He talks just like he sings, and as a musician myself, I sometimes think he is, other times I wonder, but at ninety, he can still walk up and down the stage and do it. Hey, Tony Bennett still has his voice, but I believe he is suffering from dementia now, I know others who still have their voice. Some lose a lot as they get older, but many are fortunate to keep their voice. Excuse my language, but who the fuck cares, I know with my severe degenerative disc disease and without pain meds, at sixty, I can't walk up and down a stage and travel like Frankie does, so God bless him and stop knocking him about if he is singing or not. I think he is, and he sang at his wedding to his younger bride. They also put a new album out just a couple of years ago, so what do the people who constantly bring up if he is singing or not think, he is lip syncing on a new album? Come on, listen, that's him, I don't care what anyone says. I wish at some point during one of his shows he would stop the band and say, for those who wonder, and just hit a high note or sing a line or two of something, I sure would if I were famous and constantly had the world and media breaking my stones.

@@The_Original_Alex_ChannelYeah, I think it happens because Frankie forgets to turn it off after talking to the audience, and he probably corrects it himself. It's most common on songs where he's speaking throughout (December 1963, Big Girls Don't Cry).

It's all speculation and accusations on their part. They have no concrete evidence or proof, It's just their horrible way to attack and disrespect a 90-year-old music legend. That's why I refer to them as lip-sync trolls. The overwhelming majority of the people who attend his concerts are his real fans, have a wonderful time, don't believe he lip-sync's and would never come to a concert video's comments section to attack and disrespect him. Those people are the extreme minority. Please remember that. I always delete their comments who have the audacity to reply on my thread. The others I simply ignore and don't take them seriously. They're not real Frankie Valli fans. Also. especially, pay no attention to Frenite. He peddles his lip-sync lies in replies to everyone. I don't believe him and neither should you. I've talked to concert goers who have sat in the front row and will tell you the truth.

@@stephenhanft1226 I’ve been a fan of Frankie Valli my whole life and even had the chance to meet him five years ago. He is absolutely a music legend, but the truth is that he has been lip syncing for 25 years. I know it’s something you don’t want to hear or believe, but it’s the truth. I used to be in denial and try to find ways to justify the fact that he’s somehow singing live. After long and careful examination, I came to the conclusion that he does lip sync. If you look at his performances over the last 25 years, every note sounds identical. That was not the case prior to 1998. There’s even more recent videos of his lips barely moving and being off with his vocals. Additionally, I tried to ask his former backing group, “The Modern Gentlemen”, if he lip synced, and they said they couldn’t talk about it. If he sang completely live, it would be easy to deny that accusation, right? If you have some evidence that shows otherwise, I’d love to see it. I simply don’t understand how you can explain away that every performance over the last 25 years sounds identical. I’m not attacking or disrespecting him, rather I’m simply stating a fact. I’ve talked to many Frankie Valli aficionados and they also know this sad truth. You don’t have to delete and censor everyone who challenges your view. I suggest you try to keep an open mind and look at the evidence yourself.
