Frankfurt Evening Drive | Driving in Europe's Financial Capital | Roads of Germany [4K HDR]

Driving in Frankfurt can be challenging due to heavy traffic, narrow streets, and a high number of vehicles on the road. However, with proper navigation and careful attention to traffic laws, driving in Frankfurt can be manageable. It is important to familiarize yourself with the local driving culture and rules of the road before driving in Frankfurt.
Frankfurt is known for several things:
Financial hub: It is a major financial center, home to the European Central Bank and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Skyline: Frankfurt is famous for its unique skyline, characterized by high-rise buildings, including the Commerzbank Tower.
Transportation: It is a major transportation hub, with one of the largest airports in Europe (Frankfurt Airport) and a busy railway station.
Cultural attractions: Frankfurt has a rich cultural heritage, with numerous museums, galleries, and cultural events throughout the year.
Cuisine: Frankfurt is famous for its local cuisine, including dishes such as Frankfurter Rindswurst and Apfelwein.

Brings back memories from when I've lived there for a while. I remember a colleague saying that Frankfurt is Germany's largest village. And sometimes it really felt like this. Hundreds of thousands of commuters each day, but the city itself not even that large actually.

In Europe it's common to leave neighbouring suburbs be their own towns. In America towns like Offenbach and pmuch everything else directly attached to Frankfurt would count to the city proper.

  • @cooltwittertag

@@zenmonk5403 literally the exact other way around. Especially for Germany, Cities like Berlin, Munich and Hamburg specifically were redrawn to include all suburbs. This is not the case for almost any US city. For example, the city of LA is pretty small, but its surrounded by countless other cities making up LA county, a functional community of 20 million people.

Wonderful. Such a big city even with a lot of skyscapers and so little light pollution. No unnecessary tacky building illumination, no huge LED digital screens, no disgusting white LED headlights and lamps. The streetlights are pleasant yellow or orange (be them LED or sodium). So many pleasant dark friendly spaces. I am so sick of all that extremely light pollution in Asian cities where night is really gone that I really like Frankfurt. I like dark-friendly cities and there are so many of them in Europe - France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, some cities in Italy. I definitely prefer Frankfurt to Shanghai, Seol or even New York.

Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Fantastic roads, amazing scenery, nice buildings, historic arts, fast and powerful cars, unlimited Autobahn, best racetracks, high quality foods and drinks, safe and secure society, stable economy, stable politics, nice and clean weather, pure nature and so on and on and on and on!! You Germans are already living in heaven! I wonder where you will go after death! To another second heaven?! It is not fair!!

4:43 I love how even the Germans turn the indicators on at the exact moment they start turning the wheel (I'm talking about the owner of this camera). 😁 I mean, at that point it is obvious the car is turning (by observing it's front end). Maybe indicate sooner? So other road users know your intentions before you do the maneuver. Once you start your maneuver it is pretty obvious what you are doing even without the indicators. PS People in Serbia (my country) are no better, either. I thought at least well educated Germans would be.

Berlin is just a big useless distraction, and an attraction for modern mental patients. But it seems, Frankfurt is also catching up in this respect, as this is becoming the general norm in today's sick world.
