@@thexentrader897 because different track conditions. Longer grass and damper surfaces in UK versus shorter grass and harder surfaces in Australia. Timeform uses time ratings and Frankel wins comfortably anyway.

When I cannot compare champions who never raced each other, I look at the breeding stats to rank them. Those who do it on both are the ultimate champions.

Dunadem won the Melbourne cup, Caulfield cup and HK Vase, raced twice against St Nicholas Abbey winner of the Breeders cup turf and was firmly put in his place. Frankel ran against St Nicholas Abbey and beat him easily by 7 lengths. Anyone saying Frankel beat nothing need to look at the horses he beat and then look at the horses they beat then come back with the same argument.

Winks lost two a few some by 15 lengths lol Infact one of them was First Seal(buy many lengths) but things can turn around with Winks smashing Seal by many lengths, and getting her revenge by many. Lengths. Anything can happen on different days... She turned into a freak later on...

Who can tell? Frankel was certainly a lot better than anything else he faced. The most impressive was against Cirrus des Aigles. The way he beat that champion on that ground was phenomenal.

You cannot compare the two.Black Caviar is a sprinter, and Frankel more distance horse.Plain and simple.

Black Caviar had 25 races( winning all 25) he only ever raced 7 furlongs once, the rest were shorter(sprints).Frankel predominantely ran most of his races at a longer distance than 7 furlongs.Only 3 were at 7 furlongs.In human terms you are comparing Sebastian coe with ussain bolt.I don't understand your logic.Look up the facts , its plain and simple.Both great horses at different distances.

What the fuck does it proves in this video.

The Aussies complain that our horses didn't go and challenge Winx, they constantly said "bring your horses here to challenge her, the rest of the world should send their horses to Australia to take her on". Waller uttered some glib line about planes going in both directions. Well the other countries did travel. So it looks like the planes did only go one way. Coolmore, Godolphin and Japanese stables all sent horses halfway around the world to race her. About 8 or 10 horses from overseas did go out there and race her. But Winxs connections never had the respect and manners to do those overseas connections the honour of a rematch on their home turf. Highland Reel and Benbatl travelled halfway round the world and took her on in her own backyard with all the odds stacked in her favour. In 2017 when Winx was at her peak Highland Reel ran over 10f at Royal Ascot, where was Winx? Why didn't her owners return the favour to Highland Reel and give him a chance for a rematch on his home turf? Or even in the USA on neutral ground. Nuh Uh! If you took her on in her own backyard don't expect to get a rematch unless it was 100% on her terms where she had all the advantages and everything was stacked in her favour. Pretty poor really. Highland Reel especially should have been given that respect after he travelled to race her. Why didn't Winxs connections give him a rematch in the the Prince of Wales at Ascot in 2017 or in the USA at the Breeders Cup? Godolphin raced against her a couple of times and should have been given the respect of a rematch on their home turf, never happened.

There has never been and probably never will be another like him. EDDERY, CARSON, DETTORI, CUMANI, HUGHES, all say Frankel has no peers. EDDERY'S comment was "I have never seen anything close to him" and don't forget Pat won the Arc on Dancing Brave CARSON commented "There will never ever be one like him". Apart from the fact that Black Caviar was a pure sprinter. There is no way he would have got close if she was well. You only saw a sick horse win the King Stand. A fairer comparison is Winx who won the best handicap and WFA miles in Australia as well as the most important WFA race in Australia the10 furlong W.S.Cox Plate 4 years in a row. She won 33 races in a row over 4 yearsbefore retiring. All were Group races including 25 G1 (one streak of 10 in a row). She was versatile winning at 8 different courses - from 6.5 furlongs to 11 furlongs in that run. She too raced on grass and you will see that her times weere exccellent - wet or dry conditions made no difference.

Frankel absolutely would have went with Black Caviar. On level terms, I have no doubt he would have beat her, but giving the weight away, it may have been hard for him. On the other hand, it may have been easy and he may have won by daylight. It's really hard to tell. All I know is, he clocked sectionals to match Dayjur who was the best Sprinter we've had in decades. Black Caviar was likely as good, so it would have been some race.

Is this the same frankel that only raced in races set up for him. The same frankel that beat the same horse 4 times the same horse that just about got home against a terrible field. I can name you 5 better horses through the generations easily

yes good horses make good make it to the top..jockey guide the horse.the lad looks after the horse well in the stable, and see the horse well, Who is Sir Hendry Cecil, a man who loved his horses a man who use to talk to to his horses, even to his hack,. in his first year he study his horse he knew Wolow Hollow Rain in face, Karen, and many more these were his first lot. Sir Cecil was a true lover of horses. May his sole rest in peace.

I have analysed his and her sections in detail. Of course, sectionals have not been as available in the UK as they are here. All but one of Black Caviar's races have been tracked. Half of her races were on rain affected going. From memory, Frankel only twice approached her regular sectional times (adjusting from metric) (not including the Sussex Stakes when he beat CC). Once downhill at Goodwood and in the QA. He was a great miler, but he could not have matched her speed. Toyed with her? You are dreaming, Lee.

If he would of, he would likely have never been the same horse afterwards. It would have took every ounce of heart, strength, soul and guts to toe to toe with Frankel and somehow prevail in the end of it. Oh what fun it must be for God to match-race these in his mind and see the outcome xD

People who compare sprinters with milers are stupid. ANd anyone who mentions Winx in the same breath also do not understand the basics. Winx was 13lbs inferior to Frankel on ratings, and spent at least half her time in Group 2 company.

When Winx won her last race, the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick (Apr14, 2018), she held a World record (from1984) 18 G1 wins and had equalled Black Caviar's 25 consecutive wins. She has defeated over 59 other G1 winners in setting her records.

Blue English staffy breeder She won 22 "Australian" group ones including the Winx Stakes, Optic White Stakes, Turnbull Stakes etc which nobody in their right mind could consider genuine group one races. About 8 of those 22 were legitimate world class Group One races. She was a superior racehorse but claiming 22 Group One wins is laughable really. You only have to look at the very ordinary list of horses winning Group Ones from 1600-2200 this Spring to see that the races aren't all Group One quality and the level of horse she beat. Beating 50/60/70 group one winners like Homesman, Black Heart Bart, Humidor is hardly proof of greatness. The best rating the second horse ever ran against her was 122. So she never needed to run more than 124/125 to win all those races. She had to be consistently good to win them, but she didn't need to be great to win any of them.

Farknels highest rated speed was 67.5 compared to winds 69.4 and that's a fact,farknel built his ratings in fields of four underrated horse,would have been if he ever ventured outside he's UK bubble,enable far superior horse

But one things for certain, Winx wouldn't have sniffed the ass of Frankel, Seabird of Ribot. They where cut from a different cloth. And reign in completely different leagues. Frankel was never tested outside of England Black Caviar never ever reached the bottom of the well,if you want to compare them hypothetically speaking Black Caviar ran once over 1400 and won easily, so check them sectionals but bear in mind She was never asked for the supreme effort,Frankel was asked for the supreme effort more than once and I'll admit he produced but Black Caviar was another beast,Her jockey went to sleep on her once but jogging half paced with a back injury she still won.Before you under sell Black Caviar you really need to consider them facts.I deal in facts not one liners.

Don't mind what comes to ur country ..you have to leave and go to usa to take on the sprint horses over there to be called the best horses in the world ...the likes of gallieo.giantswaya. Rock of Gibraltar. .there horses that done it ...sure frankel is from gallieo ...but he should have went for the dirt.

I still say - Black Caviar was as good a sprinter as Frankel was a miler 🤷‍♂️ they are both clearly not even close the best sprinter and the best miler I’ve ever seen. The only thing that annoys me is whenever we see Frankel/BC or even a Frankel vs BC video - if Caviar has a replay shown it’s always Ascot. Her worst performance she didn’t travel well got injured and still won. The answer to your question is because they want to run in much more important races. No horse with a live chance in the Irish Champion, Juddmote, Arc or Champion Stks would give that up to run in Australia. Nobody who owns any of the best 5 middle distance horses in Europe is interested in the Cox Plate. Ballydoyle could have brought SYT back to Aus to win a third or fourth Cox Plate but they clearly thought running in Europe was more important

European horses need pacemakers to win,you don't get that crap in australia so the races a full on unlike your set ups.Bigger fields in australia as well.im not going to bag frankel obviously fine horse,but aussies rule

lol lol lol quoting Timeform means end of story ? Since when ? I wouldn't wipe my arse with Timeform's ratings they are worthless. Do you know they had a British horse called Hoof It rated the same as Black Caviar after Black Caviar had won 5 or 6 Grp1's and Hoof It never managed to win one ? How about the laughable 136 rating they have given to Baattash, a one time Grp1 winner who has been beaten at 3 of it's last 5 starts. Must be some all time great sprinters in Europe at the moment if a horse beaten at 3 of it's last 5 gets the same 136 as Black Caviar but we know that is simply not the case. For proof look no further than Aussie 3yo Merchant Navy. Goes to the Ire and touches them up in a Grp2 giving the entire field weight and a beating before going to the Diamond Jubilee and again giving them a beating. Not enough evidence ? Then how did July Cup winner US Navy Flag go when he raced 3 times in Australia ? He finished closer to last than first in all 3 starts. Yes sure Timeform know what they are talking about lol lol. Why did they never give Secretariat a rating ? They have given horses from the 50's ratings and Secretariat raced in the 70's. What a Euro biased joke of a publication.

Unbeaten racing in 5 different calendar years, left handed, right handed, straight tracks it didn't matter and all but 2 of her wins, both times when she was injured, she idled over the line. She beat the world's 2nd highest ranked sprinter 6 times and raced against the best sprinting division on the planet. She holds 2 of the 3 fastest times, including the fastest, ever recorded at Australia's premier track. For all that she remained unbeaten. She was simply a freak

AnotherFastnet70 I agree with all of that. BC didn't have to go to Ascot to prove she was the best, we all knew that already. I always thought Ascot was just a chance to show her off, for the world to see her, not to prove how good she was. I was hoping she would win the same way Frankel did and bookend the week with two amazing victories by two champions. It's a shame the campaign was stuffed up so badly. I don't feel the same way about Winx. Winx doesn't have to go to Europe but she's gotta beat a better horse to put a stamp on her certificate of greatness for me. She's clearly a superb, superior racehorse and would be in any era. Unfortunately she's raced in this era which I consider especially poor in Australian middle distance racing. Winx has not met a middle distance equivalent of Hay List. Humidor, Hartnell and Happy Clapper are not the middle distance equivalents of Hay List. I think they are quite a long way short of it. If she wins another 3-4 races against the same type of opponent and retires I'll always think - Great horse, boring career, boring story. This is the only reason I criticise her connections for not going to Europe. If there had been high class opposition in Aus, then no probs, stay there and race, but surely after win number 20 and no prospect on the horizon of any genuine competition you'd look further afield for greater challenges. I thought a 4th Cox Plate was the easy option. I also want to see them let her go, just once. Sit 2nd or 3rd and go for home at the 500. Let her show us what she can do. Surely the poor horse would like to be let go and not have to hold herself back and be restrained, let her off the leash, just once. Let her loose to enjoy herself and so we can see the whole package in one race.

Winx Frankel Enable were not overrated. Winx is a better horse than Black Caviar. Vain was a far superior sprinter and milerto Black Caviar, Like Frankel's massive winning margins Vain beat the best in Australia in Australian record times by 10 and 12 lenghts over 6 furlongs .Vain Luskin Star and Todman had far superior sprinter miler records by the time they were early three year olds to Black Caviar who was a pussy and the most overrated horse ever to come out of Australia .Placed to win races not to be a champion. Comparing Black Caviar to Frankel is an absolute insult to Frankel by a few young Australians who have been out in the sun too long

+protarget1 In Australia trainers of other great sprinters from the past unanimously rate none of their horses to be anywhere near as good as Black Caviar. No other horse before her or since has come close to running sub 10 second 200m sectionals like she has. Comparisons with Frankel are ridiculous as she never raced beyond 7f and he never raced over the 5f or 6f distances where she had most of her wins. On top of that she travelled to another hemisphere , Frankel did not . She was unbeaten in 25 starts Frankel in 14. Glad to have seen them both race - both were great for racing and helped to advance and promote the sport.

+protarget1 Black Caviar ran hot 400m and 600m sectionals as well. it's amazing how people can under rate a horse that won every race she ever entered. The reason why her later races were sometimes against weak opposition is because rival owners and trainers didn't want to enter a race they couldn't win. If Black Caviar was European you'd be promoting her greatness as if she was the second coming. 25 races, never beaten, raced in both hemispheres, - she is the benchmark for sprinters.

+tdunster2011 In MHO Black Caviar was the best sprinter ever. Like Frankel never Pushed, and a huge stride. But what North American & Aussie racing fans don't understand is the difficulty of none UK race horses have adapting to the vast different types of tracks in UK. L/R undulating and mainly uphill. Also the wind and rain and going. Not the flat easy tracks you find in NA and Australia. Black Caviar found this out at Ascot. Only her Class got her home. Animal Kingdom was thought to be a world beater until he was found out at in The QA at Ascot. He couldn't handle the track, ground or conditions. Another example, a lot of uneducated racing fans try to compare Frankel's 2000gns time to other others. What they fail to understand that Frankel in the 2000gns was running into a gusting 45mph to 55mph headwind, still ran the 1st 5f from a standing start, in around 56secs

+protarget1 Caulfield and Moonee Valley have brought many a horse unstuck. Kingston Town was absolutely useless there much like Lonhro was at Moonee Valley. In better shape I don't think Ascot would trouble BC. She was a shade of her true self that day and would have been easily beaten by many horses in Australia if she ever ran like that again. Fortunately for BC she never had to face sprinters at Ascot anywhere near as good as those she beat easily in Australia. As for Frankel - wonderful racehorse, did more for racing in England than Black Caviar did for racing in Australia. He pretty much put racing back on the map which in many respects means more than times / sectionals. That's why Phar Lap is so legendary - he not only beat quality opposition - he pretty much showed Australians the light at the end of the tunnel during the great depression.

Of course you can compare horses that race over different distances. Both Frankel and Black Caviar raced over 1400. You can compare anything. Secretariat was a better horse than Black Caviar. Zoom Top was a better greyhound than Black caviar Bret Lee was a better greyhound than Black Caviar. Kingston Town was a better horse than Black Caviar. Tulloch was a far superior horse to Black Caviar. Cardigan Bay was superior to Black caviar Point being you can compare anything over any time over any distance.

I remember seeing Kingston town and gurners lane doing a match race at Randwick, absolutely mind blowing. The power ,speed and perfect form they exhibited was exceptional !!!!

Black caviar is the most overrated horse ever to come out of Australia. Beat Frankel. Is that sought of joke. Vain is the most brilliant horse seen in Australia over the last fifty years. Kingston town a close second.

Anne, you don't know what you are talking about. Frankel was more of a middle distance horse, while Black Caviar was a 1200 meter sprinter. Over 1200 meters Frankel (magnificent animal that he was) would just not have been able to catch her. FYI - Black Caviar's breeding has a double cross of the mighty Vain on both the Sire and Dam's side.

What an Insult to Frankel. Black Caviar is the most overrated and protected horse ever to come out of Australia. Frankel would beat Black Caviar by many lengths and Moody new it. Vain is the only horse ever produced in Australia post war that you could compare with Frankel. Nothing else.

Bring Winx across to the UK and race it against Frankels boy, Cracksman. It would be the same as this result, Excelebration would be Winx, Frankel would be Cracksman. Absolutely no doubt about that, It would be an absolute formality. PS. You can't even spell the horses name correctly.
