Frank was in a noticeably better mood doing the live portion of this episode than the pre-taped segment -- probably because he was talking about his own music there and not somebody else's that he couldn't have cared less about. He was smarmy and obnoxious during the pre-taping and clearly went off-script to make some very inane comments. If you shot both portions, you probably noticed it too. Coincidentally, Dweezil hosted an episode a year and a half later when Mark Goodman was out (and after Martha had just gotten pink-slipped).
