Also, fun fact….Frank just wrapped up his 50/50 tour where he played all 50 US states in 50 days and is now one of only three musical acts (along with George Thorogood and The Melvins) to achieve the feat and the first international artist ever to do it.

This has become my families anthem. Me, sister, parents, niblings, aunts, uncles we all dance and sing like crazy to it. ❤

Yep, definitely folk punk. Frank came up in the UK hardcore scene and has stayed very tied to the punk community. I think you guys will really dig him. His catalog is insanely good and he’s genuinely an amazing, humble, down to earth human being. Also one of the most poignant lyricists of our generation. Legitimately one of my favorite people on the planet. I’ll have to add some of his stuff to my Patreon requests, but you should also add Peggy Sang The Blues, Love Ire & Song (the title track from this album) and his cover of NOFX’s Scavenger Type to the general request list.

He had a side project that went back to a harder sound called Mongol Horde that is fucking delightful. Off that album I would recommend Winkeyface, Blistering Blue Barnacles or Casual threats

Punk rock. Says it at every concert. Love the guy, not at least because he planted the idea in my head the whatever I was doing musically-wise, despite whatever genre draw people put me into, if it felt like punk rock (my musical home turf) to me it probably is. And I guess, giving the fact this could have been some kind of mental usp at that time, it became part of the reason why we were quite successful with what we did (in our very limited regional bubble). Probably we were the only Austrian folk music band with a punk rock attitude…

@@KnightscastStudios I Still Believe - live at Wembly is badass. I don’t usually prefer live versions over studio, but this one is a big exception.

I'm a massive FT fan and in 2009 I first heard this song on shitty phone speakers and still loved it. No turning back since then! Frank came from the UK hardcore punk scene and there's definitely a lot of punkish vocals and shouting in his earlier work. He has expanded his sound hugely in recent albums, but ultimately he'd be folk/punk/rock n roll.

It's considered folk punk. Frank Turner has also done a split album with NOFX. He had quite a punk background. @Knightscast Studios

He's saying that, for the most part, people grow out of the dreams they had when they're younger, and how it sucks that it's the norm
