@@dt7491 haha yes he is doing EXACTLY what he says he doesn't like! And accusing Frank of lecturing him about science in his school... First off Frank is in a church, and secondly I bet he has a different standard for Christians speaking at colleges vs anyone else spewing baseless theories at his college. He is probably fine with the baseless theories but against a reasoned defense of the faith supported by the science!

He glorifies God with all the evidence! Problem is, evidence edifies believers, but not necessarily unbelievers! People who ask for evidence would deny Jesus if he was in front of them! Because the OVERWHELMING evidence already exists but they still deny. I showed my Mormon parents the evidence for the Bible compared to the Book of Mormon. Even they, who say they believe in the Bible, deny the evidence for it! How will you convince someone who denies the Bible outright? I don't think evidence changes minds often. If it does, it's probably because God already changed their heart enough to honestly consider the evidence.

@@evenruderanger7617 well yeah it depends on the person, as Frank states whether you choose to believe something or not it doesn't change if it is true. Frank said before also what he is saying isn't to fully convince someone but to be like a stone in your shoe.

I find it very frustrating that when someone says God, I don't know what they are talking about. Hence a need for definition and demonstration. *On what basis would I assume authoritativeness of scripture? *So since falsifiability doesn't apply to itself, shall we dispense with it? I thought scientific epistemology had produced some practical benefits for humanity? *"History as a source of truth"? Can you be more specific? *I've got no problem copping to a faith-based worldview. I fully expect things to be observable and measurable tomorrow too. So far so good. I will not accept that my faith-based view is equivalent to the faith-based view of a theist, however. I don't think you exposed anything, Edreview. I just asked a few questions, which are not based on some moral disagreement.

Frank I do enjoy watching your presentations; agreeing with almost everything you have to say ….. With one exception and that involves your reference to faith? Though at one point you did speak to faith; starting at 29 min. you explained there is belief that, and belief in? However, if examined I think in your view of faith these are in fact one in the same; from the same source …. an argument? You don’t differentiate you don’t explain why a belief in? Scripture speaks of faith, biblical faith, as being a gift from God, its not an inside job? Most Christians will agree that God is ever present? That God is powerful? That God is loving? A Father? But ask them, has He ever spoken to you? Has He ever told you He loves you? Do you have conversations with Him; after all He’s a Person, and all persons with whom we are in relationships, we engage in conversations? That’s how we know we can truly trust them? By getting to know them? The fact about faith that should be apparent is that knowing about, is not the same as knowing. There is nothing wrong with knowing about God; the more the better, but that isn’t faith and it won’t save you. I have heard you speak of the daughter that stopped believing in God, and I would agree that had she had better arguments, she might have held out longer; perhaps even persuaded a few to her side? But that is not actually Christianity? Had she ever encountered God as a reality in her life nothing; not even the threat of death could have taken that away from her. That is faith, that is what changes us, that is what begins our walk into salvation. The bible is great; the word of God. In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 we read ….. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. NOTE: we don’t read scripture saves? Or that it 's useful in that pursuit? But it seams to me that most often people try to make it useful in that way? As Christians the one common aspect of all is a relationship with God through Yashua, but most it seems to me don’t actually have a relationship? What I see they have is an intellectual conviction, a deeply held belief in Gods existence? A knowledge of him; provided in great part through a study of scripter? Somewhat like a person reading an auto biography and falling in love with the person for whom it's written? Would we call that love genuine? Finally, Romans 10:17 holds that faith come by this manner? So then faith comes????? If so, then how? After all, without faith we are certainly lost…. For by grace are you saved THROUGH FAITH and this not of works lest any should boast it is a GIFT from God? So again, I say tell me of this faith; of this gift from God? Of all the things I most need to know this is primary???? The most popular view of Romans 10:17 is that faith is imparted by the word of God, and that word is found in scripture???? I say that is an incorrect view of the passage based on a bad translation. Here is the passage in Greek and its normal translation to English. ἄρα ἡ πίστις ἐξ ἀκοῆς, ἡ δὲ ἀκοὴ διὰ ῥήματος Χριστοῦ. So faith from hearing - and hearing through (the) word of Christ. This is a poor translation because Greek has more than a single term translated word in English; ῥήματος (rhēmatos) and λόγος (logos). One can be a reference to scripture the other can't. When Paul wrote concerning the Gift of faith from God, he used the Greek term ῥήματος (rhēmatos). This is a spoken word? He is saying faith is received at encountering God person to person? That is unless it's possible to have a conversation in so other way?

That is not actually completely truth.... many denom's have placed different importance on different concerns and out of that many have started different clubs. If one feels strong that this point or that is important you attend that church club. The foundational blocks of the protestant faith really never change. Certainly PEOPLE make claims that they are still within the protestant faith, but if they were to be honest they would say/see they have moved outside of it. Example; I have a friend who calls themself a "Christian" Buddist. That does not and will never line up with solid biblical teaching. What they are trying to do is really not possible.... you are IN or you are OUT, but you do NOT get to have one foot in one club and another foot elsewhere. Ohhhhhh sure you can say it all day long that you are placing each foot in different clubs, but the truth is, they are just plain mistaken believing it's possible.... according to the Bible at least.

DOES TRUTH EXIST? Truth is a description that matches the thing being described. If God exists, then that's the Truth. If God doesn't exist, then that's the Truth. Either way, Truth (as a description that matches the thing being described) exists. Even God doesn't have any choice about the actual Truth of his own existence -- he's stuck with the Truth about that whatever the actual Truth is, and even God doesn't have the power to change it.

@Kelyaan*"Where did I claim the universe was created from nothing?"* It is implied when one assumes God did not create the universe by basic process of elimination. For the origin of the universe, there is only 3 possibilities. 1. The universe created itself from nothing (violates the first law of thermodynamics) 2. The universe is eternal (violates the second law of thermodynamics) 3. Someone created the Universe (God can act outside of the laws of thermodynamics because God was the one who created those laws) *" I though all the idiots had ran off when they saw me ;) Ok I'll bite and i'll instantly break anything you have"* Starting off with an insult is not a really good way to start. If you come across any object, either someone or something created it, or it created itself. *"Possibility 1 - You're incorrect it violates no laws* *Possibility 2 - You're incorrect it violates no laws"* More assertions....you are demonstrating your lack of knowledge on the laws of thermodynamics. The first law of thermodynamics states that matter cannot be created nor destroyed. So for all the matter in the universe to create itself is in clear violation of this first law. The Second Law of Thermodynamics is commonly known as the Law of Increased Entropy. While quantity remains the same (First Law), the quality of matter/energy deteriorates gradually over time. The universe is constantly losing usable energy and never gaining. We logically conclude the universe is not eternal. The universe had a finite beginning -- the moment at which it was at "zero entropy" So with that being said, an eternal universe would be in violation of the second law of thermodynamics. *"A fact is not an insult but nice try there Steven,"* Those are the facts and you are arguing against them. *"When an intellectual christian tries it with me on a comment I'll be the first to congratulate them on not making the same mistakes every other christian has made in the last 16 years of me doing this."* 16 whole years huh? You can say I am incorrect all you want, but you have presented nothing to support your claim. A claim without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. It requires much more special pleading for someone arguing against the existence of God. You must accept the laws of thermodynamics were violated when the universe created itself or was somehow eternal. If there are more possibilities then show me, and present the evidence that supports those other possibilities. If not then it is not science, it is just your religion.

Why does a human life suddenly become more valuable if there's a god? I never understand the value of that argument? If I, as a human being, disregard the existence of a god, I do not understand why I should consider a human life less valuable. If you believe the Bible, then you'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 15:24, that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. You'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 5:18, that no jot nor tittle of the Old Covenant Law would pass away until the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it (what Jews referred to as "heaven and earth") passed away. You'd have to agree with history, that the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it passed away in AD 70. You'd have to agree with Paul who said in Romans 5:13, "where there is no Old Covenant Law, sin is not imputed". This of course means that salvation was only needed by those who had sin imputed to them...which is not us today. You'd have to agree with Hebrews 9:15, that redemption was only for those who sinned under the first covenant...which again is not us today. The bitter pill of truth is that nobody has been saved nor redeemed for nearly two thousand years. The "church" has been in a massive error; a complete hijacking of ancient Israel's redemptive narrative. "But...but...I'm a gentile!" Are you? The gentiles Paul and the disciples were preaching to were either Greek converts to Judaism or the elect diaspora, grafted-in descendants of the tribes of Israel who had been dispersed among the nations. Through the ministry of the disciple's great commission, they were called out from the nations to again be a holy nation of kings and priests, to be sealed for the day of redemption, which only they lived to see. Nobody today is a gentile of that sort. Today's self-appointed "christians" have been hoodwinked into believing they're sinners under a law that passed away...and need a savior who said he came for someone else...who will save them from a sin that's already been removed...and a judgement that already happened...and allow them into a covenant that was made with someone else. The fact is, we today, were never and are not part of ancient Israel's redemptive narrative.~Michael Bradley

@@josephrohland5604 Truth is, context is key. When a text is taken out of context, it loses its essence. Take for instance Galatians 4:5 that you read, if you go to chapter 3 before chapter 4, you will clearly see that redemption was not just for the Israelites. For instance; we see this in Galatians 3:13-14, 28. Even the other scriptures you mentioned; like Romans 9:1-4, if you start from chapter 1 till 9, you will clearly see that redemption was for both Jews and Gentiles (everyone who was not a direct descendant of Abraham, i.e a Jew). The scripture Mathew 15:24 also should be interpreted in context as well. In as much as Jesus' sacrifice was for the sins of the whole world, in his earthly ministry He was limited to just the Jews and hence his statement. If you read the rest of the four gospels, you will see clearly that the sacrifices of Jesus wasn't just for the Jews. Finally, it's important to note that the Bible wasn't written in chapters and verses. Hence, to properly understand a text or texts in scriptures, you must read it wholly (i.e, read the pretext, the post-text, and then the main text in order to get the context of that verse). Not doing this will lead to misinterpretation of scriptures.

Moving on >>>> The word Gentile was first used in the Old Testament and it was the Hebrew word (goy goy meaning foreign nation, heathen). In the NEW Testament it is from the Greek word (ethnos - which means the same thing as foreign and heathen). It was used on and for people who were non-Jews (Usually, by implication pagan). Hence, every one who is a non-Jew is a Gentile. This is what the Bible and teachers of scripture mean when they talked about Gentiles. So if God is proactive, and His Salvivic plan was made both for the Jews and Gentiles (Every non-jew including yourself and I), then the redemptive work of Christ is for all of "MANKIND"; Myself and you included. Although, when you say that we are not under the law, you are right. We are actually not under the law because we are not Jews. However, that doesn't disqualify us from Christ redemptive work because His sacrifice was to take away the "Sins of the WORLD". His sacrifice was to deal with the nature of sin. It goes beyond the law that the Jews were subjected to. Now, it is for this reason that even when Paul had preached the gospel and gotten a lot of gentiles saved, the Elders never tried to subject them to the law. PS: the purpose of this write up isn't to try to prove who is wrong or who is right. There are no contradictions in scripture and scripture explains itself. I believe with due diligence in the place of study, you will come to a wholesome conclusion. The Bible talks about rightly dividing the word of truth. It just goes a long way to say that, one can actually "wrongly divide the word of truth". However, we should try not to be the ones who wrongly divides it. Summary; the foundation of our faith is hinged on the fact that the world was in sin and everyone in it was going to perish. It was for this reason that Jesus Christ came and died, was buried and ressurected; and His resurrection was witnessed by many. So the Bible says that if anyone believes in what He has done, that person will not perish but have everlasting life. The Bible is a book that talks about Jesus Christ, what He did, and what we who believe in Him, have in Him. It is a book that reveals to us the life of Jesus and shows us how we as His followers have to behave. It is a book that tells us about our history and what led to what we have now. The Bible is for everyone who calls himself a Christian and it is used for correction, doctrine, exhortation and rebuke.

KingJames BibleBeliever whenever Frank has talked about errors in the Bible he’s only ever meant grammatical and translational errors, which is unavoidable when you translate and recopy something down over and over again over centuries. He’s never said that he believes there are errors as in “this passage contradicts this passage” like atheists claim.

Why Do We Have a List of Virgin Births: There Were 100's of Virgin Births Around The World Before Jesus. Virgin birth (more strictly, virginal conception), in the proper sense, is differentiated from other miraculous births in that it is birth from a mother who is a virgin; and no male seed in any form is involved. Thus a birth resulting from artificial insemination of a virgin would not be classified as a virgin birth. Similarly, asexual births involving only a father, such as Athena's mythological birth from Zeus's forehead, would similarly not be classified as a virgin birth under this definition. Many alleged "virgin births" in ancient mythology are probably more accurately described as "miraculous births", since the mother is understood to have been impregnated by a god in either his own form or in an assumed form, as when Zeus impregnated Leda. For example, the births of Buddha, born from married parents, Krishna, the eighth son of Devaki, and Mithras, formed out of solid rock, were miraculous births, but were not the result of virginal conception by a virgin. Christianity *Jesus: The founder of the Christian faith was conceived, according to the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke, in the virgin Mary without a father through the Holy Spirit (see virgin birth of Jesus). This virginal conception is often confused with Mary's Immaculate Conception from her parents. (Jesus is the story of Ra the Egyptian sun god) Egyptian religions *Mut-em-ua: The virgin Queen of Egypt, supposedly gave birth to Pharaoh Amenkept III through a god holding a cross to her mouth. *Ra: The Egyptian sun god, was said to be born of a virgin. (Ra is the story used to bring about Jesus) Hinduism *Krishna *Karna Assyrian and Babylonian religions *Tammuz *Zoroaster *Tukulti-Ninurta II *Ashurbanipal Greco-Roman religions *Alexander the Great *Antiope: Antiope was seduced by Zeus and bore him twin sons, Zethus and Amphion *Attis: Attis was born to the virgin Nana who got pregnant after eating a pomegranate. *Auge *Dionysus: *Melanippe *Mithras: Mithras was born in a cave, to a rock. *Romulus:Romulus was born to Rea Sivia, a mortal Vestal virgin. Chinese tradition *Genghis Khan *Lao-Tzu Buddhism *Gautama Buddha: Buddha was conceived to Maya without sexual activity. tories sometimes interpreted as of virgin births. (DO THE RESEARCH... JESUS IS JUST A RETOLD STORYS, AND HAS NO TRUTH) “If You Think You Know Everything, You’ll Never Learn Anything,” “No amount of Evidence will Ever Persuade an Idiot.”
