The 20th Century has come and gone, Sinatra's century, and even in this 21st Century, he is still going strong, because there just is no better singer -- still! I've been listening to him my whole life and a would wager (if I could still be around then) that he will still be loved throughout this new century and maybe even into the next, if this world is still here! But even if it is nuked, some future humans, will find the time-capsules here and if they're still intact, wonder who THAT was who's voice was so inimitable and prevalent in THAT century long ago! Something like how we feel now about Mozart Chopin, Liszt, Bach and Beethoven, and others of the Romantic Period and those since, others who made music last! Imagine in 3000, they may be talking about Sinatra, Michel Legrand, Henry Mancini, George Gershwin and many others! Wouldn't it be interesting to hear what they'd say!

@@carolynbrown7836 His voice absolutely failed him. He had plenty of good nights after this but, his voice got worse and worse. That's just what happens as you get older. It's a rare singer who doesn't lose it. Tony Bennett comes to mind. He was great into his mid 80's. Frankie Lane also. But that's very rare.

@@JP-dw1fp Those who think Frank's voice is good here fall into 2 categories. 1) those with tin ears, can't tell good from bad; 2) those who admire Frank so much that they talk themselves into hearing something they're not. That said... I appreciate the older Frank as a great performer and storyteller, but you can't live on Jack Daniel's and unfiltered Camels and maintain a beautiful voice. It doesn't work that way for anybody, including Frank.

Yes he wasn't just a great performer and actor and singer. He was a great human being. I was reading something about how him and Sammy Davis Jr were playing at a nightclub. The manager told Sammy he had to go in the back door. Frank Sinatra stopped him and told the manger that he goes in the front door same as everyone else or I never play here again. And it wasn't just with Sammy Frank didn't like racist people white or black. He saw everyone the same way. As a human being and that was it. He truly was a great person and he loved America.

Magnificent performer and was lucky to see him several times in concert. He held the audience in the palm of hand. But, he went on too long and should have retired by 75. In reading various biographies, his wife and agent pushed and pushed him to keep performing to simply bring in the money. Unfortunately, he was not in control in his later years, clouded by antidepressants forced upon him that affected his memory, and his children were unable to convince his wife and agent to call it quits. Sinatra was incredibly generous to friends and strangers alike over his lifetime, and so its very sad and ironic that those closest to him took advantage of his fame for their own enrichment.

Never before, during or since....or in the future will there be anyone like Francis Albert ...unique!!!
Even as he aged and the voice began to fail him, his performances still survived on interpretation and his infinite charisma.

I certainly don't think his voice failed him during this performance. He sings this with the utmost feeling and emotion I have ever heard. Truly one of his best songs! ❤️

Perfection. The voice coupled with his expressions. The Chairman.

See how MR SINATRA puts himself into your life the way he sings n acts a song, how can anyone try to compare with the greatest that ever lived.
Frank.....I listen to this song at least 2 times every night. This is one of my favorite songs you did. We all miss you Frank. Please rest in peace...................Betsy Basile
He was one of best singers in the 20th century, the chairman of the board lives on through his music!
Saw him twice live in Las Vegas and both times at the conclusion women were throwing their room keys onto the stage, sometimes with notes attached!! One time he said "No, don't do that." and silence the other. Incomparable!
How this man could capture and caress a song to totally memorize an audience is a gift no one will ever replicate. I love listening to him and every word he sings swallows into my soul to appreciate what a treasure he was! No one will ever replace him.
No one can interpret songs the Sinatra way, as he does. There is only one Sinatra and that's Frank. I will be 86 this coming November 30th, 2022 and I've been listening to Frank since I was 12. So sorry he is no longer around, but thank God his records live on for the living to enjoy. SIR James AH KOY KBE

A me piace molto la frase della canzone "eravamo i migliori quando eravamo stupidi, come è possibile che siamo diventati così intelligenti su come imparare a distruggere i nostri rispettivi cuori"
So wonderful and with so much emotion! There will never be anyone like Frank Sinatra, I see myself, with my drink in hand, and just closing my eyes and listen to his stories of his music.
Ive lived through the greatest singers in the world and Mr Sinatra tops them all. I miss you Frank and all the great crooners in the past decades.

Masterful! Peter Allen wrote this for Frank and Frank honored him with this beautiful version.
Why when I was younger Sinatra played daily in our house. You learned the words even though you didn't realise this. Why now have i gone back, and know the words to nearly all Frank's songs songs. Even songs I've never heard are beautiful. Never will there be a singer like, Frank Sinatra. Respect OLE BLUE EYES, and to my dad also.❤🎉😅😊😊 xxxx
...."Back when we were dumb, how did we become so smart And learn to break each other's heart".. ....BRAVOOOOOO Where can i found the full concert ?
L'enchaînement de certaines phrases. Ces notes finales. Quel talent.❤❤❤

Yes, you are so right, the modern pop music is absolute crap, somebody should start writing meaningful lyrics like these and composing pop music like this, they will make a fortune!
Without doubt the greatest singer of the 20th Century oh how glad I was able to see him live without equal 💕👏👏
Never grows old.. Beautiful song... This song is one of Frank Sinatra's best.. ❤
Still my favourite Sinatra song.
This late in your career, you're still so moved and moving. What an artist you've been! A poet. A great one. Love forever, Frank 🌹
Beautiful song.. ‼️ A Sinatra masterclass...
Wow! I've listened to him for 60 years but never heard him do this song live. His voice had mellowed by then which made listening to it all the better. So many of his songs brought a tear to my eyes because the effected me so deeply. Thank God for Frank. Love
Mr. Sinatra. One of the very few great entertainer's. He didn't just sing a song - he made that song real, alive, a performance.
Great to see Frank singing this live!
WOW, what a treat, vocal delivery like no other, coupled with music and lyrics by Peter Allen and Carol Sager.
For sure there will never be another Frank Sinatra. Old Blue Eyes was and is one of a kind. Miss you Frank.
Stunning song , and Frank delivers it in such style
Magnificent performer and was lucky to see him several times in concert. He held the audience in the palm of hand. But, he went on too long and should have retired by 75. In reading various biographies, his wife and agent pushed and pushed him to keep performing to simply bring in the money. Unfortunately, he was not in control in his later years, clouded by antidepressants forced upon him that affected his memory, and his children were unable to convince his wife and agent to call it quits. Sinatra was incredibly generous to friends and strangers alike over his lifetime, and so its very sad and ironic that those closest to him took advantage of his fame for their own enrichment.
my idol chairman of the board frank sinatra.hes the only singer who conveys the lyrics so persuasively.indeed so eloquent and splendid singer.
The voice for thousand years
My connection to all that was wonderful in my past, Sinatra.
The best singer ever. His diction, timing and tone is simply perfect. Well done Frank 👍
