I sang this in karaoke the other day. No one does it like Frank - amazing song, He sings this like a man who lived everything the song describes - which I suppose in a sense he did, even back in 1969. Brilliant.

Paul Anka wrote the song for Frank. He sang it to Sinatra over the phone while he was at the Fountainebleau Hotel in Miami. Frank hated it at first. He never sang it the same way twice, but it became his Anthem. So if he wanted to say NOT, instead of NAUGHT, who the hell are we or anyone else to say it's wrong??? He sang it HIS WAY!

THEIR WAY I came with all my books, lived in dorms, followed directions. I worked, I studied hard, met lots of folks who had connections. I crammed, they gave me grades, and may I say not in a fair way. But more, much more than this, I did it their way. I learned all sorts of things although I knew I'll never use them. The courses that I took were all required, I did not choose them. You'll find that to survive it's best to act the doctrinaire way. And so I buckled down and did it their way.
