How very sad that this level of talent and class has vanished in popular music today. Dinah Shore was the shining example of class, talent and style. These two artists are singing live with a full orchestra. I'd like to see any of "entertainers" today do that. Proof that Giants walked the earth in those days. Frank and Dinah, you are missed!

Happens literally every day.

Frank is supreme. But lets not forget Dinah, too! Her laughter. Her interaction with Frank. Her rendition of "Daddy." It is pretty easy to fall for her too!!! What a doll. (thanks for posting this. It is truly a favorite.)

The world doesn't produce artists like these anymore. They both were sensational

Dinah had a beautiful smile.....

Sinatra is so casual here-when he smiles he looks like he did back in the 40's. Beautiful. You can tell that there's real affection between the two of them.

God how I miss charm, talent, chemistry and personality in celebs! Thank God, we have this on tape.Imagine if we didn't!!

He can sing, smile, act, flirt, smoke, look cool and even do some dancing in 4:33 secs... everything so naturally.

Fabulous! There is nothing out there that could compete with these two greats!!

Rather than comparing Frank and Dinah to current performers, I would say regardless of the period you prefer it is a pleasure watching performers who show how much they really love not only what, but who they are performing with.

The class and style of this generation, especially the performers, was incredible. Frank Sinatra, Dina Shore, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne and so on. All so amazing. Makes me wish I had been born a century ago.

Dinah melts my heart. And Frank ain't half bad either.

This is a great medley by two outstanding performers. Frank and Dinah make music fun.

I don't think you could ask for better than this, Two great talents having a great time singing together. The affection is apparent and it's beautiful.

One of my very favorite You Tube clips. Singing was perfect and Dinah Shore is unbelievable. What a woman.

This gem of a video is on my fav list. I've watched it many times. Two GREATS at their peaks. Sinatra's very efficient breath control is on display here. He learned the technique early on. He's always ready for the next phrase with a full load of oxygen. It makes such a difference. He was a master. I miss both of them.

Had a huge smile on my face all the way through watching this, they were both having so much fun! Frank looks so cool here, smokin his cigarette, reminds me of my dad!

I heard Nancy Sinatra say once in an interview that Francis Albert and Dinah almost had a "brother-sister" thing between them, and that he could relax in her company in a way that he rarely could with anyone else... It sure looks that way, here. (How can anybody smoke and sing at the same time and sound that good?)

This made me grin from ear to ear! ... Their rapport is very special.

Every year or so I feel impelled to come back and watch this fantastic medley again, and each and every time I find that it has gotten better than I remembered it being. How is that possible?!

Franks at his peak..I'm thinking this is early 60's after he left Capitol Records to start his own Reprise label. Dinah had her variety show and was still sounding amazing! This is priceless for those who love standards and the American songbook!

I just keep watching it ... over and over .... fantastic.

I am so lucky to be born in a generation that had the chance to apprecaite such talent!

Dinah could entertain with the best of them. And she’s so lovable.

Two of the best---Sinatra, the best singer ever, and Dinah, singer and one of the best female entertainers. Both were the epitome of class. Thanks for this priceless video.

I think that although Sinatra outsold Dinah in record sales in the decade of the 1940s, she had the better voice.

Wonderful, you can see the true affection they had for each other. And Siantra was really in great voice.

Sinatra is at his absolute peak vocal strength here his voice is so rich.....and powerful...

I just love how he constantly makes her laugh.

Several viewers have commented that Sinatra was at the peak of his vocal abilities when this medley was filmed presumably in 1959/60. The songs performed by Sinatra demonstrate how his style that evolved during the Capitol years from 53 to 61, revolutionized American popular singing. There were several outstanding singers who were contemporaries of Sinatra during this period: Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Vic Damone, Bobby Darin and Nat King Cole, but no one interpreted lyrics or sustained a melodic line like Sinatra.

Maybe so...but as others have remarked he lost something. What was it? Possibly the tenor-acolyte praising "the untouchable duo of Kern and Hammerstein" like he did at Walton High School in '42.

Listen to Sinatra from his days with Tommy Dorsey and listen to him in this recording and you can hear how his vocal timbre changed. From cigarette smoking? Probably. Age as well. But he is still a master troubadour.

They always had such fun together!:)

Just after listening to this song, Dinah Shore is now my favorite female singer ever (Sinatra is my favorite male singer) so it's a double win for me!

I dedicate this to all the beautiful yesterdays...

They go down as two of the greatest entertainers ever!

The special celebrated the life of Emanuel "Manie" Sacks a Columbia Records recording executive and vice president of both NBC (National Broadcasting Company) and RCA (Radio Corporation of America). Mr. Sacks died of leukemia in 1958.

That's called talent AND personality folks...something that pretty much doesn't exist anymore in show business.

Sinatra is at the peak of his vocal abilities here [ I presume that this was filmed in 1958 or 59 during his Only The Lonely period ] and Dinah is also in excellent form; they obviously have great affection for each other personally and professionally. This duet is priceless.

There was genuine affection between Sinatra and Dinah; both singers established their careers as vocalists with big bands and graduated to solo careers- they also both became featured performers in movies at MGM during the 40s. Sinatra also worked with and had great respect for Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Lena Horne, as well as Keely Smith.

Ok. Here is how it works. My lot were born too late. We need a time machine. Both male and female singers are perfect. Utter class. So ashamed to have lost all of that. They are so effortlessly brilliant.
