Love your vids man. Boots in themselves are a trade and mastery of them involves knowledge and time. Good job man.

Thanks! I'm doing what I can to share the best knowledge and content I can. I do forget to mention that obenauf's will darken leather significantly sometimes, so yeah, there's other conditioners I'd advise for other leathers bick 4 is definitely safe for just about everything though 🤣.

14"? How's the extra length? That's just under the knee on me. Do you wear gaff's or something, or was it just preference? Yeah the break in has been fun😂. I'm finally getting toe impressions. I'm still considering on what model to go with on my second pair.

@@ThomasSteed I like the looks of the boot at 14". I just love my boots. I need another pair that way I'll still have Frank's boot on while the other gets resoled. I noticed ur boots are set up just like climbing boots. I know climbing boots the push the heal further back did they do that to urs ? Did u have any problems with the zipper digging into shin? Thanks for video . Great color combo bad ass looking boots

@@robertstroh4803 if they did, I can't tell the difference Maybe on my next pair I can do a comparison of where the heels are set. I had the right boot's heal set to center to help correct my gait, and wear pattern. It's actually helped my back and hip pain alot. I appreciate the compliment on the color options. There much darker right now from the obenauf's, but I still love them. I expected it as I've used obenauf's before on most my boots the last like 5 years. You got an Instagram or anything online of your boots? I'd love to see them.

Yeah, I didn't realize it was so damn saturated when my dad was recording 🙄 when I realized it, we had already recorded all the first videos, and my dad wasn't having the reshoot, so I ran with it in my typical fashion, and uploaded a better look at them later. My other videos are better..... Well kinda... I sometimes stumble over my own thoughts... And refuse to edit cause it takes time, and video editing knowledge, neither of which I have🤣, and I like making fun of myself 🤣 if I can't laugh at myself, neither can anyone else😐. Thanks for the comment.

I heard you say the boots were 8.5 E. What size boot did you normally wear? I’m just curious because I’m gonna see if Franks has anything ready to ship in my size

Get your feet properly fitted. With someone who knows how to do the fitting for these companies, and if you don't have that option, and you need to do the fitting sheet, and communication with them is important on getting the correct size for whatever last your thinking about. There's multiple factors that come into play with sizing these boots.

@@ThomasSteed yeah I hear ya but I work out on the road mostly by myself I’m only home a few times a year. I was just going to get a good idea of the sizing and take my chances with an in stock boot. I wear an 11D in Thorogood I’m gonna order a 10. On Jk’s sizing chart basically says go down 1 full size from your regular boot

@@ThomasSteed I called and then put the order through for a 10D. They said if worst case scenario they don’t fit just send them back and they will ship a size up or size down back out to me. Thanks

Great review. I have a pair of of the T 2 highlanders being made. How long did it take for you to receive them?

Lead times are longer than usual this year, so If they are still backed up like they where, I'd say 16-24 weeks sounds like a good ball park depending on if they are held up on materials also. Worth every cent and minute though.

Did you get them yet? I ordered the same boot as you, T2, and they told me it would take 12-16 weeks when I was in there in September. I got them recently, and it took almost exactly 12 weeks by the time that they arrived at my front door.

@@steelonius my fit sheet arrived to Frank’s on June 16 and I had them arrive to my door October 30th. It was a long wait but hands down the most comfortable thing I put on my feet. It took about 100 hours for the lace bite to go away without doing the 2-1-3 speed hook method. Well worth the wait and money! The stitch work and overall craftsmanship was top notch!
