sometimes when i listen to frank songs that feel like longing or farewells or bittersweet moments i think of myself throughout all of my life looking at where i am now. i long for the innocence of youth, i bid my old friends and my old life farewell, and i look at how far i have yet to go and how far I’ve come and it all feels bittersweet. I don’t have a lost love or a close friends to grieve but i feel like even just looking at myself and how much I’ve changed... still makes me cry. but also imagine how hard this shit will hit when I grow up even more and have even more profound chapters to look back on.

There's something about songs like this that's so applicable to an individual that you feel alone and at the same time you're hyper aware that there are others the same way. Only difference is, every one has their own unique moment. No. You’re right. I was going through a really bad break up and chanel came out around that time and the more times i listenend to the song i knew i was gonna be okay & even better without them. His song gives you a calmness that the pain we feel is temporary but in the end we find ourselves more happier than ever.
