I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and one of the best days I ever had with him was when he picked me up in his old car, a beat up Infiniti that had torn up seats, and windows that couldn’t even roll down, after his football practice was over, and we went and got McDonald’s sundaes and ate them in his car at an empty park. It was sunset, and it was really windy out, but it was May In Arizona, so of course it was a warm wind, and he let me pick whatever music I wanted to listen to and the first song I played was rushes. We sat and listened to the music for hours and talked. Best day I’ve had in years

The song structure is so strange but beautiful. No real chorus. Just a slow rise in intensity, then a climax, then a gradual fall off. Like a curve peaking. Listening with headphones incredible, cuz you slowly hear more and more sounds, all coming together beautifully in the middle. Thank you Frank ❤️

I feel like that’s especially important with the whole of Endless as a visual album. Frank, in Channel Orange, for example, tells vivid stories in each song - which you become immediately transported to and engrossed in. In contrast, I feel like Endless takes you to a place within your own mind instead - which is super super beautiful and a really powerful way to represent meaning within an album
