So everyone here clearly has a strange emotional reaction to this song, particularly this version. What does it mean to you guys? For me it reminds me of a time. Nostalgia. I was 16 when this song came out. I was partying a lot and doing a lot of coke and having a lot of sex. I wanted to be numb. This song played constantly. It reminds me of partying until the sun comes up. Things being so beautiful and endless possibilities at night time and then when the sun comes up and the birds start chirping things start getting real and sad and the high wears off and things get bad and hopeless. In the night time the life felt so different then it did when the sun came up during the day. This time in my life was The beginning of my addiction. I’m 13 months clean now, and 25. I’ve come a long way and done A LOT. But this song reminds me of where I came from and how much of a survivor I am. I no longer have to be numb.

For me this song insome ways makes me feel in dancemood and feel exited to in a cool way,,but not of Drugs like it did for you? but more of the music and rythms,,I imagine me dancing all nights long in discos at the 80s to 90s then I was between 20 to 30 years and travelled abroad for Holidays and spended everynight in discos dancing, smoking cigarrets and having drinks,,thats was enough for me to feel High and the beat odf music..I could dance over an hour with no sweat..just feeling happy and been in another kind of dimention..I didnt go to dance to get High and get sex maybe like you say,,but I was happy even dancing for my self,,and be in another dimention, with beating music in my head and only high of cigarrets and drinks...And even now at my old age ..I feel similiar feeling just listening to music that makes me be happy like this one and feel in another world..No alcohol or other things..just Music and pumped up volume in headphones,,and get hight of emotions and adrenaline..! Saying this I wish you good luck in life and be strong ,not fall in back in Drugs,,or insane sexconections..Your life is short in this world,,be safe and try to survive at least til your 50th bithday and longer if you can. Brings me back to a different time in my life. The weed, the sex and this mindlessness of going through everyday chasing a different high to distract from the numbness. I'd have these rare moments, sitting shotgun, staring at the road at night. I'd just phase out, realise how fucked up and empty my life was. Didn't know this song then but stg, it woulda been a whole ass soundtrack.

I just found the original and thought it would be dope with a deep house mix. Looking for that brought me here, and damn I get the chills every time. And Frank’s lyrics? Just wow. I love how he’s able to tell a story with lines that are so vivid that I can picture a music video while I listen. And his voice over the understated music... this song is so close to perfect

Frank Ocean deserves more credit every time I listen to one of his songs (which usually played over & over again) it just hits me harder how fucking brilliant he is!!! But the fact this song was tuned to 432HZ is just incredibly wonderful whoever created this is just as awesome! Thank you!!
