My father, architect Franco d'Ayala Valva (1927-2018), spent a year with Frank Lloyd Wright in 1955, both in Taliesin East and West, where Wright lived and taught.
The impact Wright had on my father's approach to architecture and life was enormous. A few years ago, he made this short film recounting his experience, with recordings of Wright's voice and with footage he shot himself in Taliesin West (AZ), Wright's winter home and school in the desert.
