Truth be told, for some of us who were teenagers and youth in the 80s upto mid 90s had the best music , this was the era of discos and live band

C'est a peine hier que j'ai connu cette chanson,mais elle m'a fait tellement du bien que je l'ai jouee en boucle tte la journee,le TP Ok Jazz meritait d'etre le plus le fort de l'Afrique de cette epoque,quand je pense aux commentaires de Michel Obama sur la musique Congolaise, l'emotion du chanteur et son implication dans le chant font le charme et touchent les coeurs.

La vie humaine se caractérise souvent par l'ingratitude, paix du seigneur soit accordée à djo Mpoy et au poète Simaro LUTUMBA

2024 le 13 Mai j'écoute encore cette chanson

Cette oeuvre en dit long sur les leçons de morale qu'il donnait à la société à travers ses chansons, c'est exceptionnel. Le poète méritait un doctorat honorifique. Actualité.cd a titré aujourd'hui: ''Lutumba, l’art d’écrire une chanson et de choisir son interprète''. Elle souligne comment ce choix était fait de manière ''à transmettre les émotions de la façon la plus sublime'' (Actualité.cd, 30 mars 2019).

Djo Mpoyi ce Monsieur fut vraiment un grand charmeur de voix et surtout avec son très beau timbre vocal ....

Cette chanson me plonge dans ma jeune adolescence mon père militaire au Camp BARAKA de Libreville ... avait toute une compilation du TP OK Jazz... Et il aimait particulièrement les chansons de Joe MPOYI .... c'est orfèvre de la voix ..beau....grand ... élégant.... Auteur-Compositeur-Interprete ....🇬🇦🇬🇦🇬🇦🇬🇦🇬🇦🇬🇦🇬🇦 RIP Joe l'Artiste.

Djo Mpoyi fut un grand et beau jeune chanteur .Un véritable chanteur de charme suffisamment romantique.

The sad thing everything he sang in this song happened exactly before he died! My dad was his primary physician and one of his good friends. When DJo mpoyi was hospitalized people didn't come to help him but when he died everybody wanted to contribute for his funeral. This world is F***ed up!

@@dianaokwach4008 Maybe Moktarization can answer that but on this video he is constantly licking his lips and his left eye is sunken. Could it be stroke? My dad had similar symptoms and was hospitalised and died of stroke. Despite this, the legendary Djo Mpoyi sang his heart out all through his career. He was quite a handsome man too. He was a rare breed indeed. MHSRIP

What is sad about these legends is that there is no detailed biography about each of them, their personal lives, if they were married or not, how many kids they had and where they are now. Only Franco, MHSRIP was lucky to have been idolized but lets face it, without these great musicians Franco would probably not have been this famous. I am consoled by the fact that the great Josky Kiambukuta is still alive and I hear he is in Kinshasa. My dream would have been to see him but I am a million kms away.

@@dustmitebusters6314 Those ones alive can give us the history of the rest..but lets give credit where its due..Luambo was the glue.in as much as other people contributed to the band Franco ensured harmony.no wonder the band broke after his demise. These are heroes who were never documented. If they were in Europe or America we would be having a whole museum dedicated to them but we are in Africa and Africa is our business

Chanson émouvante, chantée de manière authentique, elle est incarnée par un chanteur qui chante avec son cœur ❤ Chapeau l'artiste et bravo au compositeur, Lutumba Simaro, qui s'est toujours inspiré de la vie quotidienne des Congolais en particulier les Kinois ! Le Ministre de la Culture doit faire quelque chose de grandissime pour préserver, valoriser, immortaliser la mémoire des monuments de la musique Congolaise !

Le maestro erick Mpoyi fils aîné de Djo Mpoyi ne cesse pas de nous faire pérenniser ce gd nom avec toutes ces grandes œuvres...l'artiste ne meurt jamais😢❤

Simaro is easily one of the greatest composers in the world. He was a born poet. Mpoy, the singer, renders this Simaro poem, Mandola, so well,so passionately, that one would think it's his own composition. His performance is as poetic as Simaro must have expected it to be. I sorely miss both artists but who will emulate Simaro and compose another Mabele, Testament ya Bowule etc to fill my world with the "sad sweetness" of Congolese music!!?? Who..... Who will replace Mpoy?!

Madilu imité le style de chant de Pepe Kalle, d'ailleurs c'est pour ça que Tabu ley l'avait recalé a l'époque avant qu'il intègre Ok Zaiko de Franco.

People took musicians for granted but they are prophet there prophecy are real,take for example MANDOLA by Djo Mpoy.......a lot of meaningful prophecy
