This is the beginning of a fanvideo documentary about the life and art of the Prince of Tenors. I call it a life in pictures! I first published this video on his birthday April 8th of this year, but since then I've made a few corrections, added some more details about his childhood, made some minor spelling changes but most of all this has superior picture quality, some of the family photos showed up poorly in my last video so I would recommend this version instead. I hope you enjoy this educational tribute, its great for Corelli fans, as well as people who don't know about him and would like to find out about a singer Pavarotti described as having "THE VOICE OF STEEL!" :)

Thank you for this lovely tribute to the great Franco! Having listened to most of the tenors of the past and present, there can be only one conclusion:the Corelli voice clearly surpasses all others in beauty, power, technique, passion, interpretation. He is the true master.
I can not think of a more worthy subject than Dario.

Signore Marotta, d'accordo 100%!!!,ch'era il piu grande tenore d'tutti . Ho fatto la sorte di essere gli due (don Franco e doña Lori) in la sua casa di Milano in il 2002. Il basso americano Andy Rawn fu il suo studente. Desgraziadamente per me, sollamente 2 ore con il maestro, non fu una "master class", ma sempre la sue registrazione in CD anche in video, mi hai fatto la possibilta di imparare la sua tecnica vocale. Franco Dario Corelli Marchetti per sempre in nostri cuori (desde Lima ,Perú, nuestro saludo. La mia gran-grannonna ch'era Giussepina Aimino Marchetti, cousina della mamma Adria dell maestro...lejano parentesco pero mucho orgullo!!!)

@Ronald Tennant. I presume you are very young and new to opera. Please keep listening to and studying Franco because if you do you will come to the same conclusion as I that He was the greatest tenor that ever lived.
I really enjoyed this. I have to admit Franco was an opera singer I'd previously never heard of. Now I rate him as highly as other names who I easily know such as Pavorotti himself & Carreras & Domingo. Thank you Leopold.
