I was there Goldmine 1978 ..... it is a fantastic tune to spin your best mate round the dance floor too.... OMG some of these '70's dance tunes are better after you 'aint heard 'em for an decade ... NAB aged 53 and a COUGAR but still love Jesus best ;D))

The bass and synthesizer in this are truly spectacular. It was 1978..I was 20....Celestion Ditton 44 speakers....Technics SL-1200 deck, Shure v15 Mk3 and Luxman L-31 amp. Musical heaven!

Plus clubs and gigs with the great "Pure Glass" and "JALN Band" Saltcoats, Kiwi Lodge all nighters, and Glasgow baby....The "Cardinal Folly" club... Born in 63 and been blessed ever since... Thanks to all the gang I knew and all the others I dint know but was lucky enough to share this time with... Wow!

Start of my clubbing years,16 years old when this came out.....cant think of a superlative to describe this,it is that good,wonderful memories of those carefree days,we were spoilt by so many great choons like this,thank God for youtube, transports me back to the days of the Lyceum,Embassy Club,100 club,Americas and Royalty

There has been so many one hit wanders over the years, an artist springs up from nowhere with a world wide smash then dissappears into the abbys, Francine McGee is another one of those, the singer, songwriter & keyboard player who released this club hit in 1978 as a B side to Feelin Good

Francine McGee had little to do with this instrumental. It was just one guy who played all of the instruments. She was only the singer on the a-side!

Amazing track. Just amazing.....it sends shivers down your back. I was 20 in 1978 and had this on 12" after hearing Dave Brown play it down underneath the Ring Car Park in Wednesday's Club, Bracknell. I just had to buy it....played it to death on my Lux L31 amp/Celestion Ditton 44 speakers and Technics SL-1200 direct drive deck. Great days.

I recalled this a year ago while analyzing the instruments used in some of the mellower deep house tunes I was listening to. couldn't find it until today . Still sounds fresh almost 40 years on. QUALITY stands the test of time. mediocre one size fits all COMMERCIALLY TARGETED MUSICAL shite popular music played on the radio in the same era is long forgotten. THE DON SQUAD. ABERCRAVE RAVE CAVE. POWYS, WALES.. FORMERLY LONDON. THANK GOD FOR ROBBIE VINCENT AND RADIO LONDON. They gave this massive airplay.

I’d have to put it the other way around and add in ‘Dancing in Outer Space’, ‘Life on Mars’, and ‘Blow Your Head’ if we’re talking strictly instrumentals. It’s what I call the funk 4 + 1 more which includes ‘Brother Green’ and ‘Sweet Power’ but these have vocals.
