Here is the sad reality of the medical field. The medical schools were pushing DEI initiatives even before it became a catch phrase. The medical students and residents that come to your hospital now are likely to either be (1) a minority, (2) female by birth, (3) gender fluid, or (4) all of the above. You want to sale some pharmaceutical products these days, you need Ken and not Barbie. And even then Ken might not get a sale because the person they are speaking with might be a modern day feminist and take offense to Ken showing up in the first place. And if you switch the play book and bring in Barbie that same person will take offense because the company brought in a 304 to interrupt her need for attention and validation. All jokes aside, you probably will have a mental health specialist who tells you their pronouns as you walk in the door. The doctors are as mentally ill as the patients.
