Well that red card received in the 2002 World Cup was let's say a bit exaggerated (that World Cup was a disgrace to football)

Fun fact about Roma, during Totti career the club reached 9 times the second place in the national tournament. No other clubs in Europe had so many second places in tha elapse of time

Great, great player. Sublime technique, awareness, power... and quite a character too - the selfie with the crowd was hilarious. Totti, Italy and Spain were well and truly robbed by the worst refereeing I have ever seen in my life in 2002. Zidane got most of the hype during that era, but for me, Totti was the superior player. Totti had the elegance and technical quality which Zidane had, but he was also more versatile and a much greater threat in front of goal. Zizou had the greater spotlight shined upon him by playing at Real Madrid and also the benefit of being surrounded by Ronaldo, Figo, Raul, Carlos, Hierro, Casillas... Totti had some great teammates as well Batistuta, Cafu, De Rossi, but nowhere near as strong overall team.

Agree. In my opinion, compared to zidane, technically they are about the same but Totti is superior in terms of vision, imagination, creativity and football IQ. Zidane is more mobile, a bit quicker and better physically. Totti is the perfect example of classic no.10 who can create opportunities straight to the heart of defence (to the penalty box) out of nothing with just a few touches on the ball. Imagine if prime Totti had played with a player like salah, Rome could have ruled Europe.

as a roma fan it always warms my heart to see the reaction of foreign people when they see how really good Totti for the first time💛❤🐺 i thought i would say to you that if you liked Totti so much that you might like to do a video with Julen Guerrero of Athletic Bilbao as he was very much the Spanish version of Totti.

REAL FACT: During the galacticos project, Florentino Perez wanted Totti at Real Madrid ssssso bad that in the first at only time in the history of the spanish club, he offered a blank white check to Totti. Totti could have typed in that ANY amount of money in it and the deal would have been done well. Totti rejected the offer. He not only said no to Real Madrid, the best football club ever existed, he expecially said no to the chance of playin alongside with the galacticos and a disgusting "galactic" load of money.

Few things that video you reacted to missed out on. The South Korea v Italy WC match was fixed. He was fouled and it was a pen. The ref subsequently was arrested and jailed for smuggling heroin. He constantly reinvented himself and it was Totti who made famous the modern day false 9. Spalletti and Totti came up with it after they have no fit strikers to start the season. He was essentially the most perfect player you could create for the position. He scored more goals after 30 than before as he turned into a more static number 9. He could do it all but at his best the purest classical number 10 old school playmaker you will ever see. It is a shame that the game today would overcoach the flair out of him to be more safe possession based.

There's much to be said about that red card at the wc 2002. The referee was scandalous throughout the game. Every foul committed by the koreans around their penalty area was judged as legal, but if an italian player just even only looked at a korean player it was a foul. An incredibly frustrating match to watch. To call the foul on Totti a simulation, which earned him the second yellow, is simply ridiculous. As a matter of fact the vice president of fifa at the time was a south korean guy called Chung Mong-Joon. He was also president of Hyundai, the main sponsor of the wc 2002... he also ran for president in south korea in the same year and promised during the campain that sout korea would reach the semi final. What a coincidence, that after the scandalous referee in the game against italy, the referee in the quarter final against spain wasn't better. South korea reached the semi final. Chung Mong-Joon was charged for corruption many years later in different circumstances. The scandal of the wc 2002 never reached a court. And last but not least, Byron Moreno, the referee who sent off Totti, was also charged, multiple times if i remember correctly, for corruption in football and even for smuggling drugs.

This is not a good video to summarize his career, skills and goals; I hope in future you see him on your own or even react to another Totti video, this missed like 90% of everything Totti was and did.
