[France] Sainte Chapelle - Relics including the crown of thorns and the cross of Jesus
One of the respected kings of the French, "Louis IX (Saint Louis)", received the crown of thorns which Jesus used by the Emperor Constantinople in 1239. (In exchange for the repayment of his debt) In 1241, by collecting fragments of the cross, which would have been hanged on Christ, the sweat of Jesus, the blood, the linen, the spear which pierced Jesus, the hanged cross, the nail nailed, as well as the relics of the saints King Saint-Louis, who collected around 70 relics, such as the hair of the Virgin Mary, the milk of the Virgin and the clothing of the Virgin, decided to build a suitable cathedral for this inside the royal palace.

남편과 함께 파리 여행중에 제가 여기 가자고 했는데 이름도 들어보지 못한 곳에 간다고 남편이 투덜거리다가 이 성당 2층에 올라가자마자 화려한 스테인드글라스에 입을 다물지 못하고 감탄했던 기억이 나네요. 제가 본 유럽의 가장 화려한 스테인드글라스였습니다.
