France's far right has been 'banalized', expert warns • FRANCE 24 English

France's newly formed left-wing coalition is seeking to prevent Marine Le Pen’s National Rally party from obtaining a majority in the National Assembly in upcoming snap legislative elections. FRANCE 24 is joined by Dr. Jonah Levy, Professor, Vice Chair and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Political Science at Berkeley, who has analyzed the official turnout of the protests, and concludes that they weren’t ‘that huge’. And he warns that it shows ‘everything you need to know about how banalized and accepted the far right has become in French political life'.

As a centrist, I am amazed at how clueless the left and the left press are that they are promoting and help the right get elected. The more you demena them, the more sad you sound and desperate. And in ignoring the issues that drive them you make them more popular. Put aside your prejudices and be objective. Imagine that, an objective press? Hm...

The CCP while still communist allowed a modified form of it...until they didn't. Is that what they are advocating? If not, you are simply labeling them to avoid a true debate of issues. On the chance, I may have a point, why not discuss, debate, and compromise instead of calling each other names. It may work to keep those in power safe but it seldom benefits the people.
