Because France ilegal imigran have majority in population.

This is the 21st century, there should be no more territories of western powers. Overseas Territory is another synonym for colonized area owned by western power. It's simple, leave the kanaks and their land and let them gain independence. Kanaks are not France people, they are Melanesian pacificans, it's plain clear... Support from PNG🇵🇬
