France faces hung parliament after election result | BBC News
France is facing political deadlock after parliamentary elections dealt a blow to the far-right National Rally - but leave no party with a majority.
A coalition of left wing parties - have won most seats in the high stakes snap election.
The left-wing New Popular Front has won 182 seats in total, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally have 143 MP’s, coming behind President Emmanuel Macron’s Ensemble Alliance, which has 168 seats.
RN leader Jordan Bardella blamed "unnatural political alliances" for stopping their rise to power.

Could you point the time in the video where BBC did not abide by the truth? I'm suspicious of any big news broadcast, but in this case they are just reporting the last facts (who won, who lost, etc) and some figures (that have been confirmed by electoral authorities in France). What is it that you think it's not true in this video?
No mention of the post election street violence - did this happen AFTER the BBC put their report together or is this just a continuation of Auntie's selective reporting?

The fact that people whose skins might not be light enough for the extreme right, are now safe is what’s news worthy. I’ve seen “Arabs huntings” and “Arabs beating up parties” taking shape in my ultra catholic school, growing up in France, and this was 35 years ago. It’s been getting worse every year ever since. France can’t deal with their post colonial issues. It’s been going on since the Algerian war when the _Pieds Noirs_ were forced to go back to France. No president since had had the guts to address it.

Agree. The riots would have happened here from the left had reform got in. Notice though, the ones bbc and others have reported for months the right are violent hooligans, yet no violence after starmer won from the right. So far only the left have been aggressive or thrown their dummies out of their prams. Sure! Undemocratic system, that's all. It's the same thing in Britain. Reform got way more votes than the Lib Dems and yet the latter ended up with 72 seats against a measly 5 for Reform. Obviously, you can't call either the French or the British system democratic.

There are constituency areas similar to the UK. Think of it as 577 smaller elections rather than 1 national one. There are two rounds of voting. In the second round, the left, right, and centre blocs withdrew candidates to support each other over the far right. RN came third because the French tend to vote for any other party to stop the far right.

Populism Donald Trump offered 50$ more on paycheques in 2016, he got president because in the eyes of many while Hillary appealed to "democrats", Trump appealed to Americans - obviously he got sacked for being maybe a bit corrupt, but America is looking to have a round 2, and if you know about Project 2025 then you'll realise that a move to Iran is actually a good idea. Nigel Farage and Reform UK didn't win the election, they weren't going to, but they did worse than the media predicted - they're the party of the disillusioned and former BNP members, Farage and Anderson see themselves as "working class" snake oil salesmen, (not like the labour party, Kiers dad was a toolmaker) but usually their in pubs, or hating the BBC while on GB News, most Reform policy is a literal human rights issue, but they either are right-wing tory haters, or just misinformed. Of course france somehow didn't win their elections, despite the predictions, France has seen years of violence between left-wing and right-wing rioters, The national rally have always promised things to "end" whether its austerity, emigration, the islamic faith or whatever else, and nearly skyrocketed to power on single-issue politics. Blair was a populist (but one done right), turning the labour party from the fringe socialist one to a Social Democrat party that got into power. In the netherlands, the dutch lost out to somebody with a funny name, an Independant PM, im not really sure what's going on, but I believe he was the former head of the Dutch version of the CPS, so thats ironic.
