France 2023 || Vaux - Le -Vicomte || The most beautiful castle in France

I inserted chapters in this video so you can see what you want to see, though I can only suggest that you watch the entire video for a full experience. Scroll down for chapters.
This was the absolute highlight of my short visit with Mom. Vaux-Le-Vicomte is so far superior to Versailles, in my opinion. First, it is the one castle that inspired the King's grandiose palace, it has amazing history behind it (which I talk about in length) but it also has a home feel to it. Because it was, after all, an actual residence and not a show place for the court. From the impeccably maintained grounds, to the lavish interiors, Vaux Le Vicomte is the most beautiful castle in France.
In this video, I share the history of the castle, past and more recent and take you on a tour of the gardens, interiors, kitchen, carriage house and more. I hope you love it as much as I did.
Vaux le Vicomte offers amazing opportunities for entertainment , year round. Please check their website for more information on costume days, picnics, live theater, fireworks and special events.

If you want to be a part of its ongoing restoration, there is a Friends of Vaux le Vicomte fundraiser/membership with great benefits:

The opinions provided in this video are strictly my own. I am no history expert, I just enjoy the sights and read about it to provide information as best as I can remember it. Bottom line, this is not the history Channel.

Oh how I wish I could have gone to see this castle it is absolutely gorgeous...too bad that I'm in wheelchair. I've always been fascinated by this type of glamour. Too bad that we work our entire life and then we become disabled unable to do many things we dreamt of doing. I think that you are so blessed to have visited all those castles. God bless....

It would practically impossible to see everything there is to see. But yes, it was our first time there. Kind of like not all Anericans have visited the Biltmore or Williamsburg.
