Ah, but he's a muscle wizard, so he fits in fine, especially since Dhalsim is basically a wizard too--well, warlock, since Dhalsim has a patron. (EDIT: "Warlock", not "sorcerer". Mental lapse there.)

@@gameclips5734 Hmmm...I can see how it's "suboptimal" if you have more Drive and/or more rounds to go (or if your timing is off), but I meant "practical" in the sense that it seems there will be *plenty* of situations where you have more SA than Drive, especially only two bars of SA, *and* you can do it outside of the corner. "Practical" isn't necessarily the same thing as "ideal" or "optimal" after all, but so noted. I will take your word for it at present.

For what JP stands for is an interesting question. Due to him being russian, the closest translation for his abbreviation will be "Джей-Пи". If we would short it to only main letters, it would be "ЖП". The closest word in Russian, to had this letters in this order and with least amount of vowels is "жопа"... So, I think, what he was bullied in school, and now, with the power of M.Bison, angry on all world, and now carrying his childhood insult as a reminder of the thing, what lead him on this way...

Then he is clearly falls under the other joke, about some Russians naming their children with foreign names, while having the most generic Russian middle- and surname, like "Жопкин Йохан Петрович" ("Asskin Johan Petrovich"). Actually, we didn't know his surname yet, only middle name. (Googled a bit about "Johan" alternatives, most of it - simple "Ivan", so all I've written before irrelevant. But I think, I know, why they decided, to name him that way: in SF3 there was a character "Necro". He was Russian as well an had a name, before transformation into Necro, "Iliya". Where is a problem? It's a female name (at least it's sounds like one). After several hours of doing something else, the thought about it come in my mind - they tried to write male name "Илья" ("Il'ya"), but they did it wrong, ending up with "Илия" ("Iliya"). So, in other words, Russian is complicated, as well as Russian punctuation rules, so, I hope, all this commas didn't made this text hard to read).

Yes, its ridiculous, some of the stage themes have been hit or miss, to boring. Cap did a great job on the new character themes!

The way JP ping-pongs the enemy from one floating -crystal-mine to the next reminds me a lot of Lucifer setups in DMC 4.

I've been studying alot of JP combo videos and thought... huh thats pretty much it.. i wonder how Desk could do more..... I should'nt have questioned the master of combo videos lol Truly Godlike!

deskcombo is just JP in real life, there's no way any one else could possibly have developed themselves this quickly to such insane levels of execution. You can't fool me, you villain.

Some good combo ideas here. JP seems to have more juggling ability in general than some of the other characters.

More than combos what amazes me is that he always have the right amount of life gauge for the combo.

I think for style he is hard but he can bully from full screen so U don't have to do the ss+ combos to win with him. Low/overhead/CMD grab mixup on his fireballs is broken

Trickster type characters tend to be hard to use. Same with Dhalsjm, they have such a versatile move set but it’s knowing what to do with his kit. JP is good from afar and up close because of his reversal but he ranged attacks have a lot of recovery so you really can’t be to predictable

@@xKayNee dude is absolutely broken in gold, I been hitting 10+ win streaks just learning the character, he has a pretty good tool kit, I think he is gonna be a menace to anyone who doesn't actually know mu for JP, at all levels, his parry is crazy good, level 2 is ridiculous for pressure and awesome for combos and his trap will mean people are always hesitant when its out. U can loop easy knockdown combos with it as a teleport. I'm loving learning JP.

I guess JP is the new Bison. He seems to be OP.

I've been enjoying JP a lot and while these are pretty stylish they're also pretty impractical
