Is it true on FM3 it's not possible to make dual amp path chain (1st amp L100% 2nd amp R100%)??? To get nice stereo blend amp sound. I'm taking about parallel path not any emulation alternatives. Is it only possible on FM9?

@@danserrano21 Thx for confirmation... So basicaly FM9 is the one and only complete unit. What I mean FM3 in this area is a kind of deal breaker. Pretty suprised from Fractal as FM3 is newer device than Helix Floor (released about 7 years ago). Wondering if that was marketing decision in order to enforce buyers to go for FM9 once released or performance restriction on FM3 and not possible to sort it out with firmware update...Pretty controversial as Fractal released FM3 and then FM3 MKII Turbo, but still without parallel chain option...🤔

Hi Leon! 3 years ago I sold my axefx2 xl+, my relationship was love/hate. Because i didn't know what i was doing, simple as that. Metallica Def Lep and Journey don't use Line 6. in fact no major artists does. I own and use an HX FX with my real amps but for full on live modelling rig it's FM3 100%

Cliff cooked! It's great to see that Fractal is constantly bringing new features from the Axe-FX III even to the FM3.

Just updated my fm9 turbo w/firmware 7 last night. It’s pretty amazing how far they’ve come. I remember always having to have some chorus on to give the tone some “movement”…..it seems like they are getting so close that I don’t need all the effects as often as I used to. Simply more tube-like. Brit 800 specifically. Technology is really getting closer. Great time to be a guitar player..

WoW, did not realize a beta release of FW 7.0 was available for FM9 ! Leon, will you be doing an overview for this latest FM9 version. Was reviewing the release notes and seems they’ve remastered amp sound/tone : ● Nearly all amps have been “remastered” using new measurement techniques and analytical methods.

Updated my FM3 a couple of weeks ago all fine this is my third fractal product they have all been great. They can take a bit of getting used to but l have tried all the rest helix the fractal gear just seem to suit me.All of there products have had a game changing moment a really nice surprise so thanks Cliff much appreciated.😊👍

nice! those clean to lower gain tones were some of the better ones i’ve heard on recent fractal stuff!

Dang. Freaking game changer! I didn't think that I needed gapless switching - but offloading a "kitchen sink" preset into multiple presets is a great idea...gonna change my workflow. Great info and playing as always. And I loved the DBZ references.

Perfect timing, just got news my fm3 arrived today. No external psu, gapless switching and multi - function foot switches, everything I like 👍 . Thanks for all the great and useful videos, you’re really killing it on this vid, great playing🤘

Idk how you're getting phenomenal tone with such a basic signal chain but I'm impressed. My signal chains are complex to just get a decent high gain tone for Deathcore/Melodic Deathmetal

Oh man! I can’t wait to update! Thanks for the content! I can’t wait to update! I intend to use it for much more complex presets so that I can switch preset present to preset so I have less compromise between what I want to run and what the unti is capable of.

Took my first steps down the Fractal rabbit hole. Got a deal on an Ultra. So far it’s going pretty good. Definitely a bit of a learning curve. I can see the latest/greatest version in my future. Thanks for the knowledge you share.

holy battery wars 🤘that riff mash up on the stealth amp was awesome, killer tones Leon, the overview is great, so much good stuff here, the gapless update alone is huuuge finally got time today, new firmware day 🥳

This is insanely good. Amazed they pulled it off on the FM3! That form-factor, Fractal-quality models and gapless make the FM3 so much relevant again.

Just a thought. . . This is a fine demonstration of the huge variety of distortion-based sounds. For those guitarists who are more into cleaner, lusher, or more ambient sounds, it would be nice to hear what the FM3 can do in that realm. Maybe consider making a video showing this other side of its capabilities?

Allright! now I'm officially coming back to Fractal! This unit becomes soooooo much more useable for me with the gapless switching! :)

So I upgraded from a PODGO to the FM3 about month ago. Wondering why I waited so long to join the Fractal world. I just downloaded these 3 presets. Absolutely fantastic!! So usable just as they are. Very sure I will using some of these for my base presets. Your videos have been very helpful for getting to know my FM3. Much thanks!!!

How do you find it compared to the Pod Go. I have the Pod Go and can't decide on the Quad Cortex or the FM3. I'm a bedroom guitarist only so the FM3 will be hooked up to a Computer 99% of the time going through a pair of Headrush 108's. Are the sounds of the amps models really that much more impressive? Thanks in advance.

Excellent demo as always. Really tempted to go back to Fm3 now as it's a lot lighter to carry around than the fm9.

I love my Helix LT, but here's yet another spike for my envy.

I was looking around the modellers market, tried almost all available ones. last Tone Master Pro, sent them back, been stopped by your videos. listened to them, did some research on Fractal, ordered the FM3, was flabbergasted by the service of that company and now, I will keep that machine, decision made and your are one of the main reasons I did that.. The downside is I have to dig deep into that thing, which makes me a bit nervous because of the shear endless possibilities. I say thanks a million

I have been using your tone pack that is free. It is a nice template. I have also been messing around with having dual instruments. Like a condenser mic in through a pitch block with 4 voices sounds really nice when tuned in octaves. I added a drive pedal and it made a doom voice which made me think how I could use that. Then your guitar stuff is dope! Wish you had more libraries for things. I found this pack of metal libraries (I think the things that save the setting of a block is a library) and I don't have to double check my own talent. It is nice to click compressor then have the choice of settings there already. Also, has anyone on the axe fx iii gotten a bug with a compressor where it basically gets stuck in the curve or edge? I had an issue where I'd play then it wouldn't stop going up and down a little on the edge.

That first patch sounds awesome on the DGT!

I find it admirable how you conjure up these great sounds from this thing. I always have to turn the bass all the way down and the treble and presence all the way up and it still sounds a bit muffled.

Leon, I love how you take a high gain amp model like Stealth Red and you’re like “needs a 15db CC boost”

That was me being conservative :P I actually like the boosts more to shape the tone and feel than "moar gain". But also, moar gain

IM LOVING THIS UPDATE SO MUCH!! FINALLY GAPLESS SWITCHING!! and the amp models sound so much better. Have you noticed the reverbs sound so much more prevalent after the change? I found myself turn them down a bit.

Ive been trying to incorporate the FM3 as an effects only thing to compliment the gain I already have in my pedal board, but then ran it straight into the effects loop returns of my tube amps and man... it sounds epic. So hard to let my pedal board go but may have to. Cant deny the tone I get running into tube amp effects returns. Crazy. And im doing this into a VH4 people!! lol guess Ill be getting another fryette power station so I can run stereo and done.

Hello amazing now fm3 is very useful just one question, is gapeless preset working with different amp and own ir cab in 2 different presets or you need use the same ir and amp and just the block like reverb and delay are gapeless Thank you very much ! You rock

Thank you for the video. If I update the Fractal FX3 firmware and then import backed-up presets, will they work properly? I bought some presets recently and imported them smoothly, but nothing appeared on the grid. It seems these presets were exported from an older Fractal FX3 firmware version.

have been searching around for something smaller than my AF3/FC12 to gig with.. nothing really compares to FAS products.. now with this update the FM3 is at the top of my list.. I'm wondering if the new update for FM3 includes Kill Dry?

I just wish they were more receptive to customer feedback and continuously improving their products, instead of releasing them, having one or two firmware updates that are only minor bugfixes, and then abandoning them until they release something new. I think they often leave a lot of untapped potential on the table.

I love my Valeton gp 200 I can get these sounds with IRs no problem newest update gives me 8 foot switches

Is it true that you need to reset all your amp and fx blocks once the new firmware? seems like a lot of work to take advantage of the new firmware...i may be wrong

From what's been posted on the forum the new plates and springs apparently are CPU hogs. Not sure if we'll see them in the future but never say never with Fractal.

Turbo let's you run a few extra goodies per preset but if you don't need them a mk1 is still great

Just slapped together a patch that goes comp - amp - cab - tri chorus - dual detune - dual delay - circular delay - reverb and the patch is at 62% CPU. Add a drive and rotary for extra landau energy and it's at 73% on the FM3 turbo!

So… with this new update how does the “regular” FM3 compare now with the Mark II Turbo and the 11% more processing power the turbo has? Get the FM3 and forget the Turbo with this update?

À Little maybe out of topic question. Comparing to the fractal, what do you think about the atomic amplifire 3 in term of sound quality ? Do you think it could be the best option for my budget (i found one for 180€ used) ? I am afraid for it to be obsolete and outdated...but it still seems to sound very good. Does it hold against the new generation ?
