Fractal Design Terra - Full Build! (JADE🟢)

Chillax and watch this build in the Fractal Terra with a 12900K and an RTX 3070!
Please comment with your questions and I will answer them.

I really love the look of this case, and I love building in it. The Jade color with the wooden front panel looks great! This case is super easy to build in and I would highly recommend it for someone who is limited on desk space. The case also works well in/on a media console.
I would recommend maxing out at an i7 or Ryzen 7 processor since the case does not have much room for a beefy CPU cooler. If you are strictly gaming, then an i5 or Ryzen 5 processor along with an 80-class GPU would be an ideal build!
Using a 12900K in this build was definitely overkill.
My first criticism of the case is that the panels don’t line up very well. Optimum Tech mentioned this in their video on the Fractal Design Terra, and he is absolutely correct.
My second criticism is that the CPU cooler fan sits very close to the side panel creating turbulent airflow, resulting in high pitched noise. Gamers Nexus mentioned this issue in their video and they are not lying.
Overall, I really enjoy this case and would recommend it for a beginner taking on their first Small Form Factor (SFF) build. I usually tear apart my builds after filming them, but the Terra’s looks and efficient use of space have won me over. I will use this case until the next build video.

Congrats for being the only one to show proper cable management on a Terra build.

yes this is what I’ve been looking for!! it’s so hard finding out how other ppl did their management
Your cable management is nothing short of inspirational.
This is one of the best build videos I have seen. Thanks for showing where EVERYTHING went, including all the cable management details, outstanding!
Just finished building my terra yesterday, and now I feel the need to go back and remanage all of my cables
I'm just about to build a Terra myself and you had some really nice cable management tips in this, will definitly revisit this! Great job 👌
I've watched some of your videos during the covid pandemic period. I learnt cable management through some of your uploads and I must say, the quality of your videos has improved a lot since then. Keep it up brother 🍻
I really like the way you showed how to build in this case properly, nice job!
Fantastic video. That cable management and precision placement is top shelf.
That montage was killer, I had to watch the GPU close-up several times because the angles and proximity were so insane that it appears like CGI.
Fabulous, I like the way u dealt with wires.
hella clean cable management. impressive!
Beautiful video, great videography and a great looking builds, Keep it up.
Beautifull work. Cleanest terra jade on the entire youtube :DD
Nice Video! Your exhaust fan is not a NF-A12x25, it's the 15! The 25 will still fit but you will have a lot less clearance to work the same cable management.

Neat build!
so awesome PC build you make
You got my 👍, very nice video!
I got this case and I gotta say your cablemanagement is fucking superb omg
Wow that cable management!
damn! this build is so beautiful
This video made cable management with my own Terra build so much nicer. Noticed a few things following your video - you plugged in your case fan to the CPU_FAN on the motherboard which should be fine but will go off of the CPU temp instead. Also for other people no need to pull the entire case connectors across the spine and back, just pull the cable for management, especially the larger USB connector.
this looks great and helpful for my next build, thanks edit: nvm its all in the desc
I dont know much about computers but I want that now...
Great video best step by step video for a terra build nice and clean . I have a queston Im ready to build in the terra I have two setup I can go with I have a I7 13700k with a msi z790i and a msi ventus 4080 now the cooler I have is thermal right axp90-x53 for psu I have the corsair 850l. Is that cooler enough to cool the I7300k at stock with no oc?
love this. did you face any turbulence for this exact build? I have the same GPU.
Super cine.worX. What are your ambient temps ? would the i5 13600k run slightly cooler or similar ? big thanx for the energies to share. greetings. SA- creator
Now I want re do all of my cables 😅
I'm thinking about doing an all black build with the black case. I'm going to put a few rgb thing in there.
You listed the Noctua AF-A12-25 but its actually the 15mm one. I just ordered the wrong fan and didnt realise till now
@rcrcrcrc516

is this cooler way better than the Noctua NH-L9x65 for a i5 13600?
can you please tell me how are the noise and temps results?
By looking at the size of the graphics card and the CPU cooler, did you had any problems fiting both in the case? According to the specs in the Fractal site, the cooler of 69mm shouldn't be compatible with that graphics card. How was this in your build? I'm planning a build with the Terra and I'm afraid of having compatibility issues.
I just uploaded my own Fractal Design Terra build video. Yours was suggested to me afterwards. I have to say: wow... what a beautiful video. Nice build, great lighting, Well done!! Small side note: "Will it boot?" was definitely not the first boot with a completely installed Windows :-) Absolutely OK
no problems running the 3070 on just 1 psu cable??
i wanna build this with a 4070super and i5 13600kf, is the i5 compatible with the motherboard? i think an i5 is enough for gaming and a bit of work, and the cooler should definetly be capable of handling it.
this looks immaculate! I am so glad it's now not SUPER hard to find one. When I built my first PC, I would've given my best friend's child away for a jade terra, but they were sold out. so sad. I went with the fractal north and its gorgeous, but I can't stop looking at the jade.
Did you use custom psu cables?
An i9 ? Doesn’t it immediately throttle?
Can you please tell me what the total weight is? It’s important for me that it goes in hand luggage and there’s 10 kg
Do any issues arise from having an open GPU?

More dust

making a mini itx is easy but passing the cb 23 and others is difficult
Fractal needs to have removable dust screens, those slots let in to much dust.

Yes, but I would not recommend it. It will run hot!
That case fan is not the x25 🙄 building mine now and it’s too thick
Anyone wanna fill me in on why 99% of sff builds i see use intel cpus? Like isnt that a bad idea when your thermally limited? Like i feel like an amd x3d cpu would be MILES better in an sff case
i really want the terra but my 330mm gpu said no.
Am o liniste in casa 10 DB nu glumesc .... serios ma pis pe carcasa tera cu t mic

I wish people would not promote large companies like Fractal blatantly copying smaller startups without making innovating. This is just a worse FormD T1 in every way. Worse compatibility, higher thermals, lesser quality, louder, and larger.

Well, I've been wanting to buy a form1 for over a year now and they are always out of stock... so there's that. I got tired of waiting and bought a fractal terra on Amazon and had it in three days (though I admit I would have rather had the form 1)

They should make their products available to buy then :), Companies like Louqe have fumbled the bag by always being out of stock
@jard

the terra is “worse” than the T1 in every way except for availability. turns out that’s the factor that matters the most, because nothing about your SFF elitist circlejerk boutique case matters if you can’t even get your hands on it because it’s sold out everywhere for months and months. lol

I would have considered the T1 if it weren't out of stock for 6+ years now. The only available T1 here are braindead SKT T1 fanboys.
